More people need to run support Pika, really underrated

Mmm, I have also been redefining roles in Unite, but I use a model that is closer to League's. What I find interesting is that you separate the Early-Midgame Melee monsters into Assassins and Glass Cannons, while I would simply consider them Slayers/Assassins. On the other hand, I would have separated the Ranged Offense into Mage and ADC, as for me they fulfill slightly different roles. The Mages are multi-faceted and tend to either have moves that deal burst damage and/or have CC (so Burst/Control Mages, Artillery Mages), or they deal sustained damage but also have some sustain/self healing (Battle Mages). ADCs are characterised by those that come online Lategame and sustained basic damage. However using the League system, there are some oddities, like Garchomp is a melee ADC but also doesnt do too bad early game. Azu is also an ADC with Aqua Tail but he functions more like an Assassin due to how his passive rewards single targetting. Regardless, Mages tend to have advantage over ADCs especially Early game, but struggle a bit more against Tanks, while ADCs are Tank killers. Which is why I prefer to separate them.

I really like thia redefinition of the unite classes. But i think even within brawler theres so much variety in HOW these pokemon actually play. Mons like azumarrill aegislash qnd even tsareena I'd classify as divers (still brawlers ofc but with an emphasis on div8ng the backline qnd causing chaos as opposed to ttar or umbreon. In that respect, the LoL class distinctions are really useful when applied to unite, but this i feel is more simple to udnerstand

Man. I’m over here as an Eldegoss main. Just got into Vet 5 after not having played for over a year and I have a decent enough friend group that we can 5 stack if we really want to. Being the Healer is really good because you control your team’s tempo.

Charizard's stats are similar to cinderace, dragapult, or greninja. It's for sure a ranged attacker.

I would add class "Disrupter" and put Greedent and Sableye to there. Those are disrupting opponent focus and flow which gives room to other team. Those are not best in team fights, but disrupts opponent so they have harder time to prepare for those important fights. Anyway great video as always.

very well-put together video, the one thing i could see being added (although lacking in numbers) would definitely be the harasser/disrupter type class, with something like greedent and sableye. good luck on your grind trainers!

i love this list of seven roles, but i also think that trevenant seems more of a brawler than a tank, having less HP, but higher dmg, and alot of built in healing

I think its a bit weird to split the speedsters but not the attackers tbh. I feel like it would be better to look at how other MOBAs categorize their classes. In league legends for example all classes have subclasses and if we translate the subclasses from league to unite most pokemon do fit their class except for wiggly who plays more like a tank(warden) The classes in league are: *Controlers (supporters) -enchanter (healers) -catchers *Fighters (all-rounders) -Juggernauts (brawlers) -Divers (engage focused) *Mages (spell caster attackers) -burst (high damage combo) -battlemage (petal dance venusaur for example) -artilery (very long range) *Marksmen (basic attack attack damage attackers) *Slayers (speedsters) -skirmishers (extended fights) -assasins (burst damage) *Tanks (defender) -vanguard (brawler tanks) -Wardens (supportive tanks) *Specialist (doesnt fit any of the above, something like greedent)

I saw hoopa as a healer till now 😅 the mobility aspect of hoopa is also very strong but I see him as a healer cuz of the ability to portal the entire Team to full HP and reingage immediately after the entire HP is restored

Great original idea 👏🏻 I would certainly move around a few on the classes And please do a continuation videos on how to play each role with explanation like the luca gameplay, it helps a lot of people that are mid in this game or are hardstuck But sadly all the good players knows what they are doing and the bad players didn’t watch this kind of informative videos

I found a team comp I fell in love with once we got it down, E Speed Outrage Dragonite with Follow Me Moonlight Clefairy in bottom, Dragon Pulse Power Whip Goodra with Safeguard Soft-boiled Egg Blissey on top then Duraludon runnkng center, team foghts are AMAZING

It is kinda hard to place some pokemon because it has 2 choices. I would like to call alstoist rapid spin as brawler and surf as tank. Idk what hyperbeam dragonite should be at but outrage is definitely a brawler

I also made a similar list focusing on the damage type of poke burst and sustain. Also having separation between mages and adc. As you stated this is based on the most popular build so i was confused to see greninja in the ranged offense as surf is an assassin. If you look at the movesets you will find that venu, scyther, cram, A9, lucario, bear, and dnite have different damage profiles and different roles and wish that there would be more specific discussion.

I think this is an amazing video, but I respectfully disagree on three points. 1. I think Sylveon works best as an in-between of a tank and an assassin when with Mystical Fire or as a ranged attacker with Hyper Voice. Aside from Hyper Voice, it doesn’t do much as far as support goes. Even then, I don’t think the SpD reduction of Hyper Voice is enough to justify it compared to the damage it deal. Its capability of running Exp Share as a pseudo supporter is simply a proof of how good Exp Share is on a mon that don’t need much Exp to attain it’s required power spikes. 2. I will keep my ground on this one. Venusaur is better used with Petal Blizzard and Giga Drain as a brawler. Abusing Giga Drain’s sustain and keeping close-mid range to keep brawling, even with your great range of basics and boosted attacks. 3. I would argue that Greedent, Sabeleye and possibly Crustle are an entirely other class, the “disrupter”. Their job is not to help your team, but to prevent the opponent from progressing by stealing their farm and abusing their traits to make big score at opportune moments. Having a Greedent main as a partner, I can say that Greedent is not here do defend its teammates but to annoy and distract the opposing team. Sabeleye works the same, but using stealth instead of bulk and mobility. For Crustle, it’s the combinaison of Shell Smash’s mobility and capacity to steal farm. Then again, Crustle is just so hard to accurately categorize imo. Dodrio is possibly a mix between a disrupter and a assassin, but lean more toward the assassin side.

I must be a mage support kind of person, all my favourite Pokémon are in that category. I've tried playing other attackers and supports and wondered why they don't feel as good. This way of viewing roles really clears things up. Unite should hire you haha.

I feel like there's another role Harassers: TalonFlame dodrio Sableye Crustle and Greedent The goal of these mons is to just annoy the enemy team while also getting vision for your twam, either by poking with Damage and getting out fast or by stealing enemy farm and getting out without dying.

Pokemon Unite is in Early beginnings. Yet they have first deal with kids in this game and second. roles needs some rework and balancing the matchmaking system of this game (and its monetization practises)

I think the ranged offense can be split into 2: auto attackers/rippers and burst da-Mage

I think there are two types of tanks "The forward scout" which gives vision ie lapras slowbro and "The protector" which actually protects your team ie snorlax trevanent.

how exactly do you define a brawler actually? and especially do not include healers, how do brawlers actually work in a game?

I see that some roles directly compliment others. Are there role combos you want to avoid? And are there direct counters that you should be weary of? I main Sylveon and mostly use Hyper Voice+Calm Mind because I don't get the same results with Mystic Fire+Drain Kiss.

in what world hoopa isn't in the healer role? its one of the top tier healers these days. imo mystical fire sylveon is kinda browler too. greedant is not really a tank, when i see it i don't excpect any frontline, its more of a brawler.

I despise eldegoss. They always either don't do dmg (atk eldis) nor do they heal enough or on time. If u want to attack run a cinder, dragonite, dragapult or even a duralodon. And if u want to heal run a blisy a clafayble a comfey. God a mime heals more. Just don't pick eldy
