Even though this is something that we’ve been working on for quite some time, it’s still so scary to share it publicly. Thank you to everyone who has supported and stood behind both April and I over the past few years. We love each other so much but came to the realization a little over a year ago that we wanted to pursue different paths in life when it comes to family. We worked very hard to try to come together and find a compromise but we found ourselves in a situation where neither person was in the wrong but we truly wanted different things. We have lovingly decided to separate and pursue different paths.
At the same time we have been working through this, I’ve still been having a hard time riding bikes consistently without constant chest pain and tightness. As long as I keep my heart below 140 I seem to avoid issues but any anaerobic exercise or extreme stress seems to trigger an inflammatory response with my heart. I’ve feel like I’ve been hitting my head against the wall trying to be a professional mountain biker without really being able to ride consistently. We decided together that this would be a good opportunity for me to step away from the bike world for now and hand the KZfaq channel over to April.
I can’t wait to see what she’s able to do moving forward in the bike space, and although I’m very sad to be stepping away , I’m excited to share some big projects on the horizon with you in the coming weeks.
I apologize to anyone that we haven’t contacted personally yet, there’s been a lot going on the past few months and we haven’t had the opportunity to touch base with everyone like we would’ve liked to. Thank you to everyone who has been a friend over the last few years, I know it wasn’t always easy to stand our side and we love each and every one of you who did.
Change is often intimidating but it can be an opportunity for growth and I’m very hopeful we will both thrive through this new chapter. April is working on a video to lay out her plans for the channel and I will be doing an announcement soon of all the stuff I’ve been working on behind the scenes. ❤️
