So much going wrong with the club it's got my head in bits thinking about how those Muppets are going to sort it out. My initial thoughts are that given the dogs dinner they've made of it I have no confidence in them having the guts or balls to be proactive, Dodds being retained just about sums up the mindset of those who really should do better by the long suffering fans who have more football knowledge and nouse than autocrat in chief Speakman who's still dining out on the back of Jude Bellingham. To be honest Wayne I don't think we'll be in any position to challenge for anything next season and we'll do well to avoid one of the relegation spots. On a different thread, my old workmate sent me a photo of the seats sold for next season and those still available on the stadium plan and the results so far are concerning if they are anywhere near the same come the end of August, it appears to me that the fans are voting with their feet and telling the club to do one.

Absolutely fantastic comments John. It will go one of two ways, they will realise that things have to change and will do their upmost to put it right next or the latter which you have said is they will to blind to see it, be too stubborn to change and will drift into oblivion of championship obscurity and relegation. Forcing a new manager to work with failed staff is the start of that process. I saw that about the season tickets too and it’s what I feared would happen, they only have themselves to blame. Here’s hoping for a summer miracle mate. Cheers 🔴⚪️

@@onlyfoolsandsafc Just read in this morning's Echo that the club have sold 80% of the available season tickets, that's 30k out of 38k approx, but I would question the figures considering the fudging of matchday attendance numbers when the club include all season card holders whether they attend or not. It's now at the stage where I find it hard to believe anything that eminates from the club these days such is my distrust of how they treat loyal fans.

Spot on Wayne. Owners have no interest in the team/its people. Their recent investment in motor racing looks like even less concern with SAFC. I think it’s only a matter of time before they sell (at maximum profit). Hopefully they sell this summer. Power really went to Speakman’s head last summer and he went completely over the top (before he went awol after Michael Beale’s sacking for fear of f’ing up again). He’s totally damaged goods now so needs to go for everyone’s benefit. New manager needs a say in all team matters, including coaching staff, otherwise we are in an endless spiral of dysfunctional short term management. Of the candidates you mentioned, Danny Rohl looks like the stand-out candidate, especially as we desperately need some stability right now and his calm approach looks like a good fit for us. Jack Clarke’s recent behaviour interesting….no goodbye v Sheffield We’d and an ambiguous public comment immediately afterwards about his future suggesting he could stay ……does he know more than we know and is playing canny.? Maybe wishful thinking on my part but hopefully he’s going nowhere pending possible imminent big changes.

Hi David, thank mate. I really hope they sell but I just can't see it. I just hope they see sense and look at Ipswichs ambitious owners and think to themselves we can do that, time will tell but I am not confident at all and I think Clarke will go along with others too.

Tony Mowbray highlighted the shortfalls in the team from the start of the season gone and nobody listened !Although form was not great towards the end of his tenure,I think he kept us up in the Championship as Beale as predicted was an awful appointment.Dodds,aside from Leeds and West Brom games,was generally just as bad!The people you have mentioned behind the scenes need to leave or be phased out.Apart from new manager thinking over the next few weeks there should be fresh thinking on everything.If Clarke and others go our scouting needs to pick up players who have mainly Championship or above experience.Younger players maybe look at Northern Ireland/Ireland or Scotland as players can usually to develop and adapt quicker.

I actually put this season up there with the relegation to league one and being stuck in league one, that's how bad it's been, once Mowbray was sacked we just absolutely fell apart and became an absolute shambles and laughing stock on and off the pitch, if this lot don't change their ways in terms of recruitment, appoint the right manager and if we fail to at the very least finish in the top 6 then there's no way back for this lot, obviously i don't want them here anyway but unfortunately we're stuck with them until they finally decide to sell or when the whole fan base turns on them cos believe it or not there's still a lot of fans that back them despite everything that's happened, the black cats bar was an absolute disgrace and a insult to our great history and heritage

Well said mate and I feel the same way, had it not been for Tony Mowbray we would have been relegated and who knows where we would have gone from there. I just wish someone would come in with a big offer who knows the area and the fanbase......but that is near enough impossible.

Thank you for all your content this season, Wayne. The match analysis, shirt giveaways and the competitions were great. A big congratulations to kennethallen for winning the season competition, well done mate. I feel that the management really don't care about the fans at all, they have, as a collective, let us all down with their recruitment, their silence and their decisions both on and off the pitch. I have supported Sunderland for many years and for the first time I don't feel a connection with the club, I feel like I've been beaten down with a shitty stick, I've lost all enthusiasm because if they carry on doing what they're doing we'll drop down to League 1 for sure this coming season. The boat that is the "feel good factor" has well and truly sailed.

@@onlyfoolsandsafc I hope you're wrong too but I can't see it either. They're being very pig headed about it. What gets me the most is their silence, we're like mushrooms, we're kept in the dark and fed shit. If I'm proven wrong about what they're doing then I'll hold my hands up but with the potential sales this summer it'll only leave us with the bare bones and that can only mean one thing, fighting for survival.

Super summary Wayne. I‘m afraid the big sell off is about to start…..so it very much looks like relegation with these owners. I would like the ex Hull manager to be given a chance but we will need to spend and recruit which implies new ownership!

The end of a shambles of a season. Tony Mowbray kept us up before his sacking. Following the mags FA cup debacle, Davison should have been sacked on the spot and Speakman told he was out at the end of the season. Their treatment of the fans was a disgrace. KLD is at the top of all this sh!t show and I won't be going back to the SoL until they've gone. Nowt will change until Speakman goes. Ship his backroom staff out as well. Who to keep? Ballard, Neil, Clarke? The list of who to dump is much longer. It's a long road back to where we were 12 months ago but division 1 is looking closer without massive changes in the club. There again, I've only been going since the early 60s so what do I know?

Note will change at the club all of them he needs to go the back room staff the owners the sporting director what manager are we gonna get? Which good manager will come to this club with these three clowns? I’m dreading next season if we don’t get a good manager, it’ll be mid tableor relegation fight? I hope I’m wrong but they’re not gonna spend money if they sell the players will the money come back to the club and buy better players? I doubt it and this is why I’m dreading that season this season next season will be worse.

otherwise. Your owner needs to take charge and fire him or sell up and change the current model. Secondly I think the reason why you kept on with Dodds was down to FFP. Paying up 2 Coach contracts in a financial year probably hit you close to the level hence employing the new coach in June at the start of the financial year. Genuinely best wishes for the season, Ipswich had shown one decent coach and a bit of investment can make a huge difference

Once again, can't disagree Wayne.. It looks blacker than midnight for us mate. Without Clarks goal tally we'd be back in the 1st,, do these idiots not see that !! Dack on more money than him was a pure kick in the nuts for him and I wouldn't blame him if he left,, he's earned it. In remember Benettes goal but forgot what the lad looks like !! Another player who should have had more play time than Hemir, Dack, Roberts Ba to mention but a few. Well, you know my feelings on it mate... was lost on Saturday with no shite to watch😢😢.. Recharge yer batteries Wayne cos your me 'go to' lad for no nonsense, tell it how it is reporting, I kid you not, 👍. Have a great summer and let's see what transpires. Nothing much will change while speakman is at the club, approx 3 weeks to appoint a manager, is this so speakman can do his deals in and out ?, again no input from coach on players, im at the point that kld can shove the club where the sun doesn't shine. I'll never buy a ticket while kld is owner

Jermaine Defoe. Before yous all shoot me down here's two reasons which will IMPROVE us under this current regime 1 He gets the club and the fans Big Connection 2 He will attract lots of decent players on loan and will improve our existing crop of youngsters by passing on his work ethic. Both attributes we desperately need and I'm a realist. KLD isn't going to be spending fortunes so we need a decent & honest Coach He ticks both boxes
