Let me tell you Hov haters why many have him as the goat and most rappers. He came up out of the boom bap era. Held his own on a record with Biggie, Biggie even felt like he was better. He created many legendary hits and freestyles all while not writing his lyrics down. All rappers that work with him are amazed by how quickly and effortlessly he can drop a verse in one take no writing. He was on top of rap game for many years even into his 40s. And simply focus on the Emcees who changed the genre and moved it forward in chronological order. Not record sales or popularity either. Cultural impact trumps all of it.
