SO my brother used my router table and usually changes bits for lil ole helpless me- but i needed the router today and YOU HELPED ME CHANGE IT ALL BY MY LITTLE LONESOME!! Thank you, very easy to follow your instructions, mine was in my router table, but same thing different effort! Thank you. the only thing i did wrong was accidentally unplugged the router from the table - took me a hot second to figure that out!!

How do you install the 1/4” collet in the first place? I just got the router and it has the half inch ollet on there and I can’t figure out how to switch them out.

Most important part was out of frame

Way too tight. No wonder it gets stuck. Your students also need to know that you must back the bit out of the collet about an 1/8th of an inch.., to allow for heat expansion of the bit!
