Great video. You made it clear from the jump that it would be a quick 5 minute repair as opposed to a 5-hour repair (removing trim, hatch, who-knows-what). Try your local dealer next time. They’re not always the cheapest, but they are often times quite knowledgeable. For those reading, the amazon equivalent part did not match. It was cut differently. The toyota dealer part reigns supreme for this job. I am planning to replace the brake master cylinder assembly on my 2011. Any video pointers are appreciated.

@@t5198 I found out that on some Toyota models that the break systems has to be replaced with some kind of tool because of something in the system. A friend of mine compressed the break calipers on his 2013 4 Runner and broke something in the systems that cost him a lot of money to replace it. He is going one of those people like me, if I can fix it I will ! Be sure that you don’t have that system first. If I’m not mistaken it had to do with the calipers being compressed at the same time and at a certain rate. I’m going to do a video on the sunroof soon that will surprise everyone that has one. It takes about 15 minutes to do and will save you a lot of headaches. Thanks for your input! 👍

Just watched this after getting the part from Toyota, thank you. It helped out a lot. I had a plastic wedge tool which made this a lot easier. I also had to clean up the dirt stuck to the window glass since apparently I had not noticed mine had given up a while ago. The only other parts I have had to replace myself were the rubber nipple on the radio antenna, all 4 electric motors in the door locks (.99 cents a piece if you know what you're looking for), and the button on the rear door because it got so hot it melted.

Glad I was able to help, I’ve not had any of the things you’ve had, so thanks for the heads up. Being retired I have to live on a budget, plus I like doing things for myself. Have a good day and thanks for the good words.

Thanks for posting! Love my 4runner! I hear you on the back door struts; I used a 2x4 that would fortunately the right length to hold it up. I have an odd question... what music is that playing in the background?
