I feel like we seriously need to bring back the old cultural ways of "childhood names" and let people pick a name that properly suits them once they reach adulthood or some certain age in the teenage years. It would get rid of a lot of the anxiety and adjustment to new names, it would also remove the whole concept of changing your name as an inherently trans thing, because it's not. Names are a big part of your identity, and it's kinda dumb that parents can decide that for you and then get mad if you don't want the name anymore for whatever your reasons might be.

Settled one from Irish myth since it has the same origin as my siblings, and all the guys in my near family. You can't know if it's gonna feel nice if you don't try it. Choosing my name, I was kinda confused, and nothing really clicked, and I was dumb to think something would just immediately click. I just went with Xem cause it sounded cool and i felt it kinda reflected my personality somehow, and back then I didn't really feel connected to it, but now I see xem and think of me. Just choose whatever you like, doesn't matter how you look or act, it's just a name, and if you don't like it after a while, you can try another one :)

I got my real name by blurting it out as my nickname in role call on my first day of middle school with literally no prior thought.
