I know it's a month too early to celebrate Channel 4's birthday and I haven't been uploading anything much on this channel this year, but here is a Ident history video all about Channel 4.
Channel 4 launched on the 2nd November 1982 and became the four television channel in UK history while back before then there were only BBC One, BBC Two and ITV.
