I was surprised by WV too. I feel like it has a bad rep sometimes and people usually don't understand the beauty in WV until they visit it seems. My son and I have visited 21 states so far and WV felt so magical. We went during Christmas and it was gorgeous. Btw I think you guys are some of the most honest KZfaqrs I've ever seen. I appreciate your channel and how genuine you both are 😊

Wow, visiting WV during the Christmas season does seem like it would be magical! We would love to go during that time and check it out for ourselves, thanks for the suggestion- we always love adding things to our bucket list. It is so awesome that you are not only crossing things/states off of your bucket list but are also able to share the experience with your son! 21 states is super impressive! You will have to continue to keep us updated as you cross them off, we love hearing all about it 😊

I really have enjoyed watching your videos. Particularly liked the narration and facts about the destinations along the way. Glad you reached your goal of 50 states. Your trek to Alaska was particularly interesting to watch. Maybe my favorite thing about these videos is that after all the miles and nights in that small vehicle you both still seem to enjoy each other's company. Best wishes in the future!

There is so much to do and see in America, I just spent 2 weeks going up the coast from San Francisco to Oregon, and I feel like I just barely scratched the surface. Can't wait to get my van. Three more years. I wish you great adventure! I am happy to see you going out and grabbing life. It slips away so fast.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing trip! We hope you had a great time 😊 Honestly, even after visiting 50 states we feel the same way, that we just barely scratched the surface. Even though we have some international travel plans in the future we definitely still want to continue exploring the United States. We can't wait for you to get your van too! Once you get out there, you will have to give us the scoop on all the great places we missed for our next lap around! Who knows, we may even see you on the road 😉

I found you guys a few days ago and I'm hooked! I want to tape out a mockup of your size van and I was wondering if you could provide the dimensions of your bed setup (and maybe the battery box up front). I would love to know the width/depth and length of these so I can tape out a visual mockup to see how I would build it. LOVE the videos and thanks for the updates and ideas!♥

Nevermind--I just found your video on dimensions of the van, which was so amazingly helpful. I even had ChatGPT take the transcript of the video and pull out all of the dimensions that you called out and it built me a perfect outline of all of the dimensions!

Was the lack of high clearence/4x4 a consideration when choosing your destinations?

The lack of clearance came into play more than the lack of 4x4 when finding wild camping spots. We were always cautious and read reviews of the wild camping spots to make sure our vehicle could make it to the locations. By doing this, thankfully we never had any issues 😊

How do you heat your van when motor is off

The quick answer is, we don't! We have seen other people add a small diesel heater to this type of van but we didn't spend enough time in cold weather to justify adding one ourselves. Most cold nights we get by with our cold weather sleeping bag and a heating blanket. We did try a small Mr. Buddy heater on one of our trips but for the most part, we were just fine with our sleeping bag and heating blanket :) Hope that helps! Sorry for the delay, we were actually traveling for the last few weeks! We have been creating additional content, including topics like our channel analytics and articles about things we have learned so that way when it is ready to launch we already have content in there that hopefully makes it worthwhile!
