If he made that remark In Germany or Austria, Henning could be in jail right now - not because of the obvious allusion, but since the yellow press (which merely consist of one lame 'The Sun'-imitation) would go mental for weeks until he banters himself into a punishable paraphrase during another interview... ...on the other hand, Henneng would not have dared to make that forced statement.

he is not really making a joke about Anne Frank, he makes a joke about where Britain is heading and uses a krass allusion. Actually, Jimmy saying "This is fantastic news" was a setup to get the crowd to applaud vigorously - so that he could say "take it down until we know it's his." He would not have been able to do that joke if he had insulted Jon first. Then the crowd would have laughed - he needed applause so that he could say "take it down." In other words - it was a long-game insult.

Just remember all those wars in the past, when the german army gave a shit about any hostages: "General Hindenburg! The British are holding two Bavarians and a Saxon as hostages until we comply with their demands!" "Understood - let them know: we'll be happy to send them some Swabians as well if needed..."

The attic and "Might even get a book out of it" jokes are so funny.. I feel like a lot didn't understand it or they were afraid to laugh. Especially funny coming from a German, other end of the stick, so to speak. Henning is a treasure, we're lucky to have him.

Lyrics I bring joy, and I can take you through, All those days when people seem to get to you. I bring joy, and I come here to you. I bring life, and I can take you where You can see, and feel, and breathe, and touch the air. I bring life and I can take you there. Feelings inside that we keep Out of sight and out of reach Bring us to the things we seek Take your time, remember when you do There are days when people feel the same as you. I bring time, and I can take you through I bring joy... Songwriters: Gustav Holst / Manfred Mann / Mick Rogers / Chris Slade
