The marriage of the automobile of the future and fashion
France was the birthplace of the Concours d'Elégance in the 1920s, creating these wildly popular encounters where exceptional cars of the era, often customized by famous coachbuilders, were exhibited alongside elegant women dressed in the latest clothes big names in French fashion.
One of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille's first ambitions was to bring this glorious era back to life by inviting car manufacturers and designers to introduce the public to their concept car, an interpretation of their brand's future models, by associating them with models adorned with the most beautiful outfits from fashion houses for a unique fashion show which was greatly applauded by the public.
Thus premium brands such as Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Bugatti, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Ford, Honda, Lexus, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rolls-Royce, VW… and Italdesign coachbuilders, Touring and Zagato unveiled at the four previous Chantilly Concours d'Elegance, sometimes as a world preview, their latest creation in terms of the automobile of the future, associated with fashion designers Haider Ackermann, Giorgio Armani, Balmain, Hugo Boss, Ann Demeulemeester, Eymeric François, Jean-Paul Gautier, Yang Li, Thierry Mugler, Paco Rabanne, Alexandre Vauthier…
Vintage car rally
Engaged in the Concours d'Etat, the owners participate on Saturday morning in this "Chantilly Arts & Elegance Tour" at the wheel of the Most Beautiful Cars in the World. On the program, a course of a hundred kilometers crossing the lush forest massif and the surrounding regional natural park which contain remarkable and listed trees. The opportunity for collectors to also discover the many historical monuments of the region before meeting for lunch in a carefully selected site.
