Should try putting in golem of safeguarding. Its 50% less minion hp is local to the golem itself and doesn't apply to your other minions. PoB and in game tooltips confirm this. Its buff scaling with golem effect made my golemmancer essentially immortal to melee hits. It was extremely nice.

I'm amazed you even tried considering most of us that have tested the Golem concluded it was likely bugged or underpowered at present. The AoE didn't feel appropriately sized nor the damage output. There are at least of handful of bug reports regarding this skill, its supposed to have a 50% more aoe modifier and with various increases to multiply off of that we couldn't see that at all. To top it off, the very bizarre lagging behind behaviour of the chaos golem even when given the aggressive behaviour.

i am running around since season start telling people that golems are very strong now if not even overlooked broken.the primordial bond cluster node in combination with golem of hordes+charms and which was taken+ heralds with exposure stacking is insane efficient. this charms rock -7% resistance and 35% golem buff effect. when i first tested this on my powercharge stacker it outdps a +1 powercharge not on atlas tree in pob my idea was to make the perfect dps char to play with my aurabot friend. that means we do not need any armor evasion or resistances. but we play CI and stack damage taken from hits as chaos by running a elevated hunter mod on body armor with 17% to get in total with helmet and passive tree to ~44% taken as chaos now i wanted additional phys reduction since it also works for damage over time and independent of how big the hit source, on my search on how to get this number up efficiently i stumbled above golems and there changes and started a investigation check (xd) on the new golem gems i figured, not can we have much more golems now, we can also reach much higher numbers in golem buff effect also i figured that golems them self are bad, only the buff effect on the player are nice and maybe the freeze from ice golem of hordes soon this became my project for this season and i tested a bunch you can reach 100% meele hits taken on golem life before you from that stone golem of safeguard. with elemancer note that makes golems immun to elemental damage and my self being immun to chaos, makes physical the only source that is counted on my golem of safeguarding and therefore, as long as the golem is alive, am i immune to elemental damage from melee hits! i can not tell if phys taken as chaos takes effect before the damage is moved on the golem of safeguard or not ( no data) but i will make a build that shifts 100% of phys to elemental and see if that will make me also phys immun since 100% of the damage the golem takes would be elemental. discipline adds on your golems which makes this aura x2 efficient against meele hits once the safeguard golem hits 100% the chaos golem rocks a 50% additional physical damage reduction which is crazy stone fire ice golem all are nice i guess with so much buff effect but not the reason why you would invest into golems in the first place path of building sadly can not calc this correctly, nether the safeguard golem or the golem of hordes. but safeguard shows its buff effect inside the game.

If your minions can tank the balls just use desecrate to move them to a location and absorb the hits away from you.

The point of this golem is to use it with chaos/poison damage because if you up the quality of it, it gives withered stacks without having to use a withered totem. I'm using it for a Poison Minions build on a necro and it's good fun. For spectres, the Cultist archers you can spawn from the wisp areas work great with it.

Reminds me of one of Kripps old builds "Degen bear spectres"

I don't really like what they did with the golems. They kind of took the old golems, split their base moveset into different gems and...that's it. I feel like they didn't really buff them or anything. If they're just gonna remove stuff from the base golems, then they should buff them as well.

Been playing this since start, guardian minion life stacker was my starter and the chaos golem worked great. Add Bodyswap of sacrefice and enjoy bossing too lol. Slap it on chieftain and you got start to end game a good MF build

exarch put auto attack on bar maybe and attack in place, then they move into the balls for you (while not being near you) - should also work if you spam desecrate away from yourself

You can use predator support to aim the chaos golem around for better clear I believe.

CaptainLance9, I recently watched your tri-stacker videos and I have suggestion for this league. How about Pillar of the Caged god Inquisitor with Boneshatter of Carnage + Trauma support + Bloodthirst support?

I am using Reverberation wand and it's pretty dank for like 1c. Basically gives +2 to empower AND chaos golem gem. idk if the golem procs arcane surge but the controlled destruction is a decent 0.5 link.

The worst part about minion builds is everything is so generic and boring. Namely the gear and passive tree and if it is off meta usually it will costs 2 times as much to replicate the damage. If the squire was at normal price 2-3 million damage for 20-30+ divs would be pretty bad.

If u can make a build kill ubers for 20 divines or less its a good build imo so gg

i always wanted to build somehting like this where u have ONE golem that does all the damage but my plan was a fire golem with ignite&prolif maybe with this new fire golem you can do that ? maybe you could even use fire golem+chaos golem and just scale generall dot damage and not chaos or fire ?

How much is the DoT without too much investment? I'm thinking it might be a decent DPS boost for other main skills like Caustic Arrow or Toxic Rain on an Death's Oath Occultist

Ben literally unequipped his SRS links every ball phase when he did gauntlet last. I think that's honestly the best way to go about it is just get rid of the minions during ball phase...as much as it sucks.

The thing i cannot stand on minion builds is how stupid the minions are. They are really dumb morons and without any finer control about what kind of enemies they should prioritize, it becomes a very tedious build to play. Predator support is not a good enough solution because targeting a rare in a clusterfuck of 50 monsters is completely impossible.
