Hypnodisc was more entertaining as it used to rip it's opponents to shreds, however Chaos 2 to be fair was overall better than most others with it's powerful flipper!

As i was a child and see the flip from chaos 2 in tv it was like a knife to my heart

This was one of the greatest programs ever to air on british television. We need more of it. Only downside is this was from the pre-everyone's-a-terrorist-phobia, so I doubt such an iconic program would be allowed any more.

Wow...watching this aged 11 was THE most exciting thing ever, didn't realise looking back how quickly it was over and done by :p The flipping of the house robots is a great moment though!

chaos 2 and hypnodisc really pushed the boundaries. the former flipping robots out the arena and the latter being a machine of total destruction. 1 of my fav fights ever. and chaos 2 had the guts to take on the house robots

I remember watching this when it first came on :D. Was epic then and is epic now.

I miss this show. These two were the best robots ever. and both had huge entertainment value, the awesome flipping power and manouverability of chaos 2, and the immense destructive power of hypno disc. Razer looked incredible. brilliant design, but ultimately quite boring to watch, and the guy was so damn precious about his machine.

I was 10 or something. This was the saddest moment of my childhood.

@darkshredder95 - Their drive train was damaged by Steg-O-Saw-Us, so they had problems in this fight, and the gearbox seized up before Chaos 2 flipped them.

Why is everyone here talking about how Hypnodisc sucks? Is it not obvious that the reason why Hypnodisc couldn't turn left or right in the this match is because of the damage taken in it's match against Steg-A-saw-us? Hypno-disc is good.

Yeah! I think that Steg was hugely underrated. It was the first major pushing robot that I remember! Later to be used to great affect with Tornado and Storm 2. I think it really did hurt Hypno.

Would be good to see what would happen if Chaos 2 and Hypnodisc went against each other when Hypnodisc had their self raising arm and more powerful disc motor.

I think Hypno-disc and Choas 2 have been two of the most feared robots in robot wars. So much of a shame Hypno-disc was dying on it's feet in the later stages with that heavy Disc requiring the motors turned off, not that Chaos 2 wasn't going slow and flipping weaker by the end either, but it could have been a much more interesting fight if they were both fully working. At this point I just think Chaos 2 had more Endurance then Hypno-disc at this point which mattered a lot.

Yeah I think I remember that actually, the disc never seemed as destructive though.

@RustingVagina Not true, Razer had one of the lowest ground clearnces on the front from Series 5. It could get under the front of firestorm 4 despite their titanium strip on the front end and Firestorm 5 could get under the front of Storm 2 before the titanium strip got bent.

@cepperulez For all the minuses I'll get I'll agree with you. Steg-O-Saw-Us really did Hypnodisc in in the semis and left them with virtually no movement. Picked up near the end though.

Are you on drugs or something? "Chaos 2's driver was so bad," but yet he flipped Hypnodisc, Matilda and Shunt? How many times do you see the best competitor, and two house robots get owned in one heat? I thought Chaos 2 was wicked here. He tried going round the back, he thought, "no, fuck it..." wasn't scared of the flywheel, took one blow straight underneath the flipper, not a scratch. It could've flipped everything in the arena if they'd let him.

How was Hypnodisc any good? Anyone remember Panic Attack? Craig Charles said it himself, the thing has to stop using its wheels so it can get its disc spinning So it's a sitting duck half the time

Shame Hypnodisc was virtually dead in this battle, they mentioned somewhere they were on 30-40% Power and died within 30 seconds

Shame that this was before HD got a self-righting-mech. After a such a short battle it was good that Chaos II went for the house robots.

@voiceofreason2008 erm no, it ran for 9 series, 7 UK championships and 2 extreme series, it was at its most popular in series 5, and then it tailed off when it moved to Channel 5 for series 7

Always loved Hypnodisc it's a shame it never won.

@strykah92 I am not so sure about this, but I would say the odds would have been more stacked in Hypnodiscs favor. Hypnodisc would probably still have hit the same endurance issues by the grand final however...

poor hypnodisc :(. chaos 2 is amazing machine though 1:54 look how they remove the axe from shunt by using the flipper to knock it back out.

hypnodisc was lucky i think. the disc would be hard to replace if the house robots got a good shot at it. it's looky that chaos 2 took out the house robots i suppose. maybe the chaos team knew that as well, or they might of just wanted to celebrate the victory.

chaos 2 is like a hypno disc killer =.= the only weakness of hypno disc is that once they are flipped over,boom,game over

@nutterboi5 series 2, Razer just had mechanical problems in series 2, 3 and 4 so it didnt get very far until it won series 5, but it still won the World Championship during series 3

it was on UK TV it ran fro 3 series then died off on main TV

Was a poor fight sadly because Hypnodisc never got going. It barely moved throughout the fight due to damage caused in the earlier battle.
