Was happy to see Luka try something he hasn’t played before. Even though the dice wasn’t on his side I’m kinda glad to see something other than resurrecting necrons and fishing for sixes all time. He is such a good player that it’s nice to see him give himself a handicap of sorts and dish out some more back and forth content

The Iliastus Accelerator Culverin is essentially a giant rail gun/ bolt weapon combo. Imagine a super sized bolter that fires bolts at almost the speed of light. Then make those bolts heliothermic meaning they explode with what is essentially a plasma charge built into the bolt shell.

@@kingvulture446 you're welcome! I'm a science geek that loves lore and especially 40k lore. If it helps at all imagine you could shoot a rock at almost the speed of light at something. That would do a lot of damage right? Well now instead of a rock it's a super complex shell that explodes like a small star on impact.

You can't "Storm Hostile Objective" in the first battle round according to the card. Does it change if it's fixed instead of tactical?

I just realized that Chaos Knights can take Chaos Daemon allies! Having The Changeling to sit on a back point could be pretty useful, and/or dropping Skarbrand or some other giant daemon lord behind your enemy could be hilarious! Moreover Chaos Daemons can have a Knight or up to 3 War Dogs with them which would actually look super sweet. How'd it take me this long to notice that...

I remember when the Daemon Codex came out in 9th, there was a lot of discussion about using daemons to act as infantry for Chaos Knights. Don't know how many people ended up doing that, though.

You can definitely tell Luka plays a lot of AoS, he just ran everything in with no strategy.

i think with giving a large of amount of shots fired at a unit having one with cover and rolling 1 at a time till it dies makes no sense. if your firing at a unit your firing at all of them and the feont row would be hit first

The telemon heavy dreadnought is sadly not a good choice this edition, its 3 damage gun being AP 1 and S9 means pound for pound allarus are better anti-tank.

Poor Chaos Knights. You know what would have helped them out....having one less War Dog, or having one of the big boys replaced with 1 War Dog. -GW apparently :(

He should have taken the harpoon load out on the tyrant with 2 missles instead on 1. Way more efficient. Imo

I had 6 painted and ready to go in my list, but the FW rules just dropped and I really wanted to use my big guys. They haven't been performing great from my experience, but I still love them.

Sad thing is my first clue that it was before the point rise was this: there was a Tyrant in the list...second was 3 big boys. So sad that that was a thing for less than a month and now it's back to "Oops all War Dogs"....*sigh*

great bat rep, fun as always. on a side note because it came up (but i dont think it was actually used), im sure im in a minority but I hate that tank shock can be used by "walkers". It should be a "shock and awe" tactic to give vehicles that aren't traditionally a melee attacker some option to contribute to the front line, not allow units that already want to be in melee to just further devastate the front line.

Question: why don't you guys use a tripod for any of this stuff, like moving units around? I ask because the smash cuts and the constant camera movement are very off putting.

No i don't think knights are overpowered if anything i think they are too expensive per point. Especially the big guys like the tyrant they are not really better then the wardogs.

Ahhh luka. Rolls terrible. Picks up the same dice, flipping them upside down, and gently rolling them back to the same roll he just got. I cannot emphasize enough using a large dice rolling tray to improve your rolls.

Big Guns Never Tire can only target units your engaged with IIRC. You still shoot at -1 to hit.
