In my mild winter state, farmers in rural suburban areas, with lg acreage, wd plant wild flowers to reduce mow cost & time. It is the most magnificent view in the world, to drive by acres & acres of wild flowers, in single color flowers & mixed flowers. Purple is my fav.

I do this for everything (well, almost) I literally mix seeds and chuck them around. Works well for me.
