I had so much fun building and painting my possessed chaos space marines. Used bits from everywhere and I spent a little extra time painting them to truly make them stand up under scrutiny at games. I guess now a days, GW would ban them from any games because its obvious many of them don't use "official" GW bits. Kinda sad really. *Welp, thanks for the fun and the lore. Hey Baldermort I know it’s a story but don’t the iron warriors despise chaos using its power as a weapon/tool only, supposedly they are the least physically corrupted of the traitor legions when a limb or part of their flesh show signs of chaotic mutations they immediately cut it off burning the corrupted flesh. I know perturabo is a demon prince but I thought it was a means of saving his life after fulgrims betrayal. Those who serve chaos undivided act independently not having to obey any of the chaos gods.

Very cool. I’ve got possessed in my night lords and I enjoy seeing them get a little spotlight. Really it’s them and the warp talons that give chaos a new mean streak in the codex, it’s attacks on top of attacks with them. Good against Tyranids, orks, and astra militarum.

Well during the great heresy these possessed could go in and out of their demon form if I remember, which is awesome. I see for example if there is a game of Black Crusade (Whoever plays the game it is awesome.) How a Chaos Marine would wish to be posseseed by a demon. The time and resources and the most important part. The interaction ans fun when it finally happens. Ah... These are the good old days.

Every joining of Marine and Demon is unique. Some relationships are very hostile, some are in good balance and some are kinda friendly. Changing into the so-called "Warform" is still quite normal, as is being able to change back. These "Second born" can be little more than slaves or as great as the Lord of Abaddon's own elite Bodyguards!

As a person who did a theory craft list for a mostly possesed army. If the dice is on your side and roll well. The greater posses and posses if used properly with a master of possesion and troop choice with stratagem used for Word bearer. Posses are good unit's just like World eater's khorne berserker. The only issue i see is geting them in effective range and the age of the codex compare to the power creep of other's armies codex. If rng is on your side and can make effective use of posses they are good unit's assuming they can get to the foe and not die in the process. Definitely a Word Bearer daemon focus list can be fun to play if you know your way around it to make it work for you .

I’m in… a bit of a spin tonight, I’m afraid. My best friend of twelve years, who I’ve known since I was a teeny little critter who couldn’t even reach the counter, just lost the love of his life and I’ve spent the best part of a week commiserating with the poor soul. At the same time, he and I are both five days away from our first two final ATAR exams of a COVID-prolonged, year-and-a-quarter final year of school and staring down the barrel of adulthood in bleary dread. I… also then had to talk another friend of mine out of taking their own life this afternoon, and had an absolutely horrid period of waiting for a response where I thought I might have been too late, the longest two minutes of my short eighteen-year life. Poor girl’s collapsing under the weight of all the worlds on her shoulders, and about to sit the dreaded exams too, so I’m terrified as all hell at this very minute that she might decide it’s all too much. And in the middle of all that and trying to help my poor exhausted parents out around the house, I have never felt quite so small, helpless and outnumbered. I might have holed up under my blankets and called my grandparents, just to hear their quiet, kind old voices again and pour every fear I had out to them, to just feel like a child under the wing of two holy giants again, and to remember the sound of their reassurances when I grazed a leg as a kid. But my dear old soul of a grandma has had her cancer return again in several patches in her bone, and I couldn’t bring myself to bother either of them when my own fears were dwarfed beneath their own sadness and worries. So, instead, I… clumsily pulled on my shoes, stretched, turned up the volume on my phone, opened KZfaq and began to run. I ran through the neighbourhood and bush land and highway-side bike paths I’ve grown up in ever since I was a kid, that I grew up alongside my best friend in since we were silly little gremlins and that mum and dad taught me to ride my bike around… and I ran from one end of one path and back, touching the metal railings at the end of each path of trees at the end of each familiar paddock, and ran, clumsily and with no grace, against my tantrum-throwing legs under a cloudy, starless night, alongside the screaming of trucks along the highway. And I listened to you. ‘Gork and Mork’, at first, a delightfully comforting distraction that pushed me up and over the hills I’ve never gritted my teeth and run up non-stop before, letting the video play right out until the end, deliberately to hear the faint ‘toodleloo’ in the last few seconds. Then, for the remaining two-thirds of the journey I listened to the timeline of the Dark Angels, just listening to your recount and the clumsy pads of my footfalls, and trying to reinvigorate my faltering will with the stories of sacrifice, desperate hold outs and a man who walked into the ships reactor to protect his loved ones. I am proud, and bewildered, to say that I have never run that far in my entire life, and that I did not stop once until I fell sprawling on my porch with a few minutes of the latter video left, gasping like an asthmatic goldfish and probably looking very odd indeed, grinning like an idiot as I was. I know I would not have made it if it was not for you, Baldemort. While I might not have been able to reach out to my grandparents, the quiet, wise old presence of your voice took me back to childhood holidays upon my grandparents properties, waddling wide-eyed with a handful of their pant leg as they tended to the world like they were it’s grandparents, too. Your bearing reminded me so strongly of the dry wit and good humour of my parents, older cousins, uncles and aunts that I grew up looking up to, and your delivery of the stories of battered martyrs and exhausted soldiers fighting on beyond any reasonable bound, made up though they are, of course, made me feel like I was sitting around a bonfire as a toddler once more and listening to them all chat. I don’t know what I’ll do about my friend who is teetering on the edge of life and giving up, and I still feel utterly unprepared to be an adult. I don’t know how I’m gonna do in the exams and I don’t know what the hell im doing half the time- most of my fresh adulthood feels terrifyingly improvised. But I kept my commitment to that run tonight, and I got to hear the voice of my grandparents in your cheerful old yarns, even if I couldn’t reach them directly. For that, I really do see you as an Uncle, though one I will never have the pleasure of meeting in person- thank you for helping me keep throwing one foot in front of another tonight, and thank you for rekindling my hope that maybe, even if I have to fight through weeks of nonstop efforts with next to no sleep or walk into the heart of a dying star to save the people I love and to grow up to be a man like my grandfather, and like you, that maybe… I might be able to do it. And dammit, Honorary Uncle of myself and our community… I promise you I’m going to try my heart out.
