@@crimsn9898 There is strength in numbers. Bands like this help Korn and other bands become more successful. Korn is an amazing band, but when other bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Coal Chamber come out and release albums it truly does help Korn as a band I believe! They might have been one of the first nu metal bands, but Korn's success wouldn't have been as great without those other bands!

Fuck yeah... With KoRn and Slipknot as my top two favorite bands, I'm happy as hell to see new bands of nu metal succeeding and sounding great. I hope these guys continue to grow. I wouldn't really call it a revival though... KoRn and Slipknot put out albums a year ago, and they're both going strong and sounding as good as ever IMO.

you just dont like the fact that korns energy finally embraced the darkness within after the singers wife passed. the last korn album is more powerful than you could ever imagine. "Take a look around at the morning star, he's coming for you......." that includes slipknots last album of unadulterated internal energy. The energy that chaoseum puts out is still infantile and weak. close your eyes and open your mind. Written from a the wrong perspective that the op didn’t like new korn.

I really hope these guys just continue to grow and get bigger and bigger. As bands like KoRn and Slipknot are getting up there in age, it's nice to see a young band come in to keep nu metal alive and show their love of the bands that obviously inspired them. This shit sounds awesome and I can't wait to see where they go. Long live nu metal!!

Brings me back to late 90s to early 2000s metal which was my absolute favorite years for metal. Another band that brings that feeling is terror universal. I feel that generation of music is making a comeback which I would love.

I was thinking the same thing. I love Queen of the Damned. Also Jonathan Davis, David Draiman of Disturbed as well as Chester Bennington of Linkin Park did songs specifically for the movie Because they all love and read Ann Rice Vampire Chronicles. Jonathan Davis even had a tiny part in the movie. He was a ticket scalper trying to sell Jessie a ticket on the way to Lestats Concert.

When I heard this, it made me feel young again....lol. Absolutely took me back to the 90s/early 2000s and it really reminded me of the music made for Queen of the Damned. I'm a huge Korn fan and I'm not upset at this at all. I've been listening to this on repeat cause I miss this sound. Even their other songs are great. 🤘

@@Distortion1971 - Spot on, Distortion, and from what I've been reading, here and elsewhere, we're in good company with a lot of other hardcore Korn fans. Chaoseum's music is a genre, not a reproduction (or rip off). I grew up in a household filled with music encompassing every genre you can imagine, from blues to Middle Eastern (my Mom taught Belly Dance in the 70s), and while there are always similarities within genres, every artist adds his/her own little bit of extra spice and seasonings to make it uniquely theirs. That's what MY ears tell ME, anyway. :)

This song is a definite homage to Korn. I'm impressed how the pulled it off without a bassist. Reminds me of listening to the Issues album when it came out. Not all the songs on Second Life sound like Korn, so don't judge the band on one song. It's definitely a good listen.

I don't get why people are writing this band off so quick, there's a lot of talent behind it. Listen to the drums, the guitar work. The guy can even sing, the only proof you need of that is the ending to the song

Ive just discovered this band today and i cant stop watching they're videos. Everything about this band is haunting in a good way. Its a perfect blend of heavy and melodic. I cant say enough of about this.

I feel like these guys grew up playing a bunch of korn, mudvayne, and disturbed songs and that's just what they enjoy. I really dig it tbh because it really shows you what it means to be influenced musically/artistically over the course of your life.

I’m glad these guys are experimenting bringing this type of music back. There is a whole generation of teens who missed out on having bands like this producing new stuff. Sometimes you need new voices to reintroduce something to newer generations.

Some were created by punk, some hardcore,some both some hardcore metal, but if these guys toured with korn I wouldn’t doubt it because I hear like 3 bands in one here. Like Cold, who is awesome Korn, I remember 95 at Lupos, and slightly slipknot. These guys are doing they’re thing. They do it well. :)

I was born in 2002. I was introduce to nu metal because of korn life is peachy album. I've had people tell me I'm too young to know about them. But I tell them its the best music I've ever heard

Honestly- I don’t care if it sounds similar to Korn. This song is awesome af. In an age where rock, metal and grunge are withering out because of new Gen bad music taste- it’s refreshing to hear this song. Besides, everyone loved Korn, so if these guys sound similar- so what? It’s epic and I hope they make more music like this. I wasn’t a fan of the prior songs they did because I’m picky, but this sound- I LOVE. Keep F***in rockin Chaoseum!

Mate, where have you been…grunge have been dead for decades and rock is not even worth talking about… metal is stronger then ever before and there’s some absolute insane talent out there that’s a hell of a lot more original then a band ripping off Korn. Go have a look at bands like Orbit Culture, Brand of Sacrifice, Distant, Gojira, Darko US. The metal scene is kicking massive ass…
