They do have a scene where they compete in track, which is basically a test on how far your muscles and lungs can take you, so that makes sense in a battle of the sexes scenario. But basketball is like strategy, teamwork, hand eye coordination. None of those things are plausibly seen as things (cis) men or (cis) women are better at. A woman invented rock and roll. Saying women can't do rock and roll because they are not skilled enough to do it is absolutely laughable.

Come on guys, I'm sure this movie is at least as funny and cleverly satirical as the Babylon Bee.

I believe the correct term for conservative satire is condensation.

Always a joyous day when Acid Marxist returns! Thank you so much for this, it seriously made my week. Quick question though, and I am deeply sorry if this has already been established and I just missed it; I don't know much about how these things work. I noticed a lot of other AM videos have been taken down, and this happens periodically, though many often reappear later. I was wondering why that is, especially with certain favorites like the David Brooks related clips. Again, apologies for my ignorance. I'm deeply grateful to AM for turning me into a Chapo fan. Thank you for all you do! ❤❤❤

There's so much to fucking unpack about this dumbass movie but the biggest thing is just that there's this very obvious well of "stupid performative neoliberals" they could draw from that the left and right could find common ground on and they just can't find it in any capacity.

My girlfriend has practiced various martial arts for years, not to a professional level but pretty well. I am a reasonably athletic guy but I have done next to no martial arts training. Let me tell you, in any kind of sparring, she can utterly destroy me and I don't even know what's happening. Training means a lot, anyone who doesn't think so is a colossal idiot.

Bad Comedies are always a slog to get through. At least you have unintentional humor with other genres, bad comedies are just lifeless husks. See Also: An American Carol
