I really want an Aaron Sorkin Cancel Culture movie, and it somehow involves Russiagate. I'm just putting this out there for the universe.

they probably only watched a handful of episodes for this but god I wish they had seen the episode where DL Hughly takes Chandler to a black comedy club to see an up and coming comic that they could potentially hire and I swear to god the guy they originally go to see starts doing some unga bunga shit on stage and Chandler's whole demeanor is like how dare you waste my time with this while DL Hughly is profusely apologizing, like begging for forgiveness. Sorkin is one of those people who should be absolutely banned from writing any characters who aren't exactly like him

@@Snootypriss kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eKuhac1ezJrWdn0.html So I actually misremembered this, Chandler is actually kinda just unfazed by the whole thing, it's DL Hughly who is ready to lynch this guy. He straight up says "what that guy needs is a Colt 45 and a bucket of fried chicken" jesus fucking christ

It’s very amusing to compare this to 30 Rock, which premiered at roughly the same time. For one thing, especially in retrospect, these shows don’t seem like contemporaries at all. Studio 60 feels like a 90s project. The most important difference was that early on 30 Rock figured out that the show within the show was bad and had no pretenses about it. Meanwhile Studio 60 never gave up the idea that their stupid sketch comedy show is not only funny but actually important and edgy when to the viewer it so plainly isn’t any of those things.
@nicanornunez97872 жыл бұрын
Well one is a comedy the other is an epic political drama. I think Studio 60 error is showing the stupid sketch, the Felix interpretation of DBZ is perfect. But you don't show Goku you just pulp fiction every episode, like the joke of plain trains and automobiles. I mean if you could just write such a great sketchsthe show wouldn't be watched for the drama.

@@nicanornunez9787 Hell, the DBZ comparison is why I find Mr. Satan’s character so baffling. The world of DBZ is one where the public knows about people who can shoot energy beams, make copies of themselves, grow extra limbs, grow fifty feet tall, regrow limbs, like just the stuff from OG Dragonball, and somehow it’s this greasy Hulk Hogan type with no magical powers that’s considered the World’s Champion???
