For work I had to watch a video produced by DHS in 2019 about what to do in a Mass Shooting. The intro included the line 'your life can become like a movie in an instant' - I guess the government is fine with 'Die Hard' becoming real - but what other movies can become real that they don't want to talk about? 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'? 'Ghostbusters'? - we already experienced 'Andromeda Strain' Reality is not defined by legislation - there is a reason Adam Curtis directly references 'Solaris' and 'Communion' indirectly in his Bitter Lake film.

No but I keep getting Ron Johnson adds on KZfaq as I live in Wisconsin saying that [Ron's] holding the line & stopping the DC liberal elite from their massive spending spree that's "causing rising inflation" and I'm all like: what spending bills have passed lately that weren't bipartisan? But hey to someone who's not paying much attention it sounds about right as a coherent narrative even tough it isn't true.

That may well be, but I can’t say I’m all too enthused with the hard left’s master plan for winning either. They can’t build a governing coalition to literally save their own lives; nor can they turn out enough voters to actually challenge the gerontocracy that’s currently running the DNC. Shit, at times their whole philosophy of attaining power and enacting their revolution seems predicated on allowing the Republican Party to run wild through our democracy like a forest fire, burning away all the old power structures and running the country so far into the ground that Middle America might for a short time forget their phobia of socialism and actually VOTE their asses in.

Biden was the 'safe' candidate for neo-Liberals. Sadly, 'Liberals' who voted for him are clueless. I'd love to see a Presidential election where I didn't have to hold my nose to vote for someone. On many levels, I loved Obama, but he was just as neo-Liberal as the rest of them.
