OOHHH MY GOD you just blew my mind with the "Beautiful mind clip"... hahaha I have heard of guys picking up women like this and now there is theoretical knowledge behind it hahaha. I am a 32-year-old Australian and have just enrolled in Queensland university of technology, I am about to study Business majoring in Economics and I have stumbled across all of your videos and it is now a book that I can not put down. I am hoping that all of this knowledge will give me a head start, so thank you so very very much and I will report back when I am finished with all of your lessons.

So, i have arrived at game theory( Watched this video up to the 60-minute mark so far)! I haven't studied it, but I know it's a rigorous mathematical discipline. However, I find the aspect of examples that dictate human thought in the theory quite discomforting. Simplification is acceptable (since human thought is incredibly complex, and currently there is no mathematics that can quantify human thinking completely). however For instance, if someone is educated about the prisoner's dilemma, they would still engage in rational thinking but would list out four possible outcomes to consider probabilities, rather than just thinking along the two paths presented in the example. The mode of thinking in the example is obviously incomplete, which I would call 'branching linear thinking.' This type of thinking is somewhat akin to gravity, where Nash equilibrium resembles the lowest stable point, and team optimality is like the unstable summit of a mountain. This gravitational force might cause the resultant point to move towards the lowest energy point. However, if it starts at the highest point, it wouldn't move.

You're welcome. The videos are done with what is called a light board. It's a piece of glass in front of me that I write on. The camera is on the other side and the image is reversed so that it's readable.
