Today I’m reading Chapter 7 from the first book in the series, The Numbers: Get in Order! Originally, each chapter within the book was intended to be a book by itself, aimed at younger children, until I decided to expand and upscale each story before putting them together (in order, of course) and creating The Numbers: Get in Order!
I created 7’s from the way he looked. 7 has a very flat head and I imagined him being great at using it to carry things on top of it, as well as using it as a step! Originally, 7 used his head many times as a ‘little step’ to help others. 7 was naturally a helpful number and this is why he became the next number to count on!
