Wow Ian that does look amazing the glaze is genius I bet it makes it so tasty , and the slaw sounded so crunchy , I’m always hiding grated courgettes in my meals got to up the veg somehow lol , we have the vile flu bug in our house too hope you are soon feeling better I’m sure that burger will help 😋Amanda xx

Hi Ian,sorry you are still not feeling well.I never thought to make a pork burger,and pork mince isn’t easy to find here,but as I can shop in a Chinese supermarket it’s not a problem for me.I would grate the carrots,as I really don’t like the taste of raw ones,and grated you can’t taste them as much.I got shell on shrimp at the Chinese,so I’m going to clean them tonight,and make shrimp scampi,with pasta.I keep the shells in the freezer for stock.if you add salt to courgettes you will get more water out,I make courgette fritters often,and if there is water left they won’t crisp up.😊

I could eat that all day long Beddy lad 😋😋😋. You do know you can buy the char Sui marinade in any Chinese supermarket, it's the deep red sweet paste. £3 I think 🤔

Hey Ian, not a fan of courgettes and onions just double me up with indigestion, so what would you think about using sliced fennel and small leaks as a substitute. I think that the fennel should match perfectly with the pork and the leaks should work to replace spring onions.

I think I would cook the leaks a bit first as they are tougher than scallions,and even the fennel is tougher than courgettes,but taste wise I think it would work.So if it was me I would sauté the vegetables before adding to the pork mince.😊

Hope you feel better Ian. Great video as always. Love the burger press. Just one question. I’m a fish hater. I can’t stand the smell the texture or the taste so I would be a bit wary of using oyster sauce. Is it very fishy because I believe if we were meant to eat fish God would have given us gills so we could go get them 🤣

Personally I don't think it tastes fishy, you could omit it and maybe just use extra soy instead but it might make it over salty 😊

Wouldn't it make more sense to glaze them right at the end? As it looks like it's burning the sauce and you're losing most of the flavour from cooking it out. Each to their own of course.

For me personally it gives like a bbq taste and texture which I like but like you say each to their own 😉
