this tutorial screams out to me that its the best one ive seen on character design and gives me so much confidence cause I can relate to all the problems so well I was stressing out so much and then you said "dont bother with the details when you need their personality first" and i realized 'wait, i already know exactly what I want to make, I just overthunk it.

Man, I unexpectedly stumbled across your channel two days ago when looking for a tutorial and I've watched over 10 lessons already. Your tutorials are funny, straight to the point and informative. I've definitely improved cause I've been drawing for years so your videos were the polishes I needed in some areas I find difficult. As someone currently drawing A comic (I still didn’t start) I realized most of my character designs follow the rules (except the color thing, my colors look good on everyone except my mc I don’t know why I thought red and purple would mix, definitely going to change the color of her shirt) You seriously don’t understand how much you are helping I want to binge literally every video you make like I have time, you are a legend and a life saver!

You are an incredible person who I can tell really cares about the art community. The fact this good of lesson quality is free in simply incredible. When you feel up to it I would find it helpful for a video on capturing the likeness of a person and converting that into an artwork. Of course no pressure. The quality of your videos keeps getting better. A lot of tutorials don't hold my interest for very long, and my mind ends up wandering and I have to rewind to find out what they are talking about. I was interested throughout the whole thing with this video though, and was able to retain much more of the knowledge you have shared. Thank you for the added effort, it makes a noticeable difference.

Also I want to note that most people say you should know a character's personality, what they like, their temperament, they're favorite food, they're favorite music who they like- My point is sometimes just having a "mood" you want this character to give off is good enough, you don't need to know everything about them first to start, so thanks for helping me see that mental block that was in my way.

Your videos have helped me a bunch on my art journey. I feel like you have helped me improve exponentially throughout this year. I am starting to design characters for a comic, and this video helps out a lot. One thing I hope to ask is how you would go about drawing younger/older characters and how to make it so each character doesn’t look the same age.
