You can place a sword or any other weapon in front. However, to draw it in correct perspective, you need to understand the basics of perspective. Perspective is based on the viewpoint, so you'll need to study that aspect.✍

Thank you for appreciating my drawing. Hmm… Resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image, affecting the size and detail of the image for both digital and print uses. DPI (dots per inch) determines the quality of printed material, indicating how many dots are printed per inch. And the resolution of this drawing is 3385x6000 pixels at 300 DPI. : )

wow your work process was amazing to watch, i love it!! and the colors look so bright and lively, how do you achieve that starting from the grayscale base? usually they end up muddy and washed out for me, would love some pointers :3

How do you put the flat colors and the gray scale together? Do you put it in devide or overlay? In this part is where i always had the worst and longest time to edit and finish

Grayscale was applied using the multiply blending mode over a flat color. : )

@@Toad_Art oh so the grayscale mode was put to multiply and the flat color was in the bottom? Mode still in normal? I always thought the flat color was the one that should be put in overlay or multiply and put the grayscale below then edit the rest to finish the art, i always got stuck for a few hours rendering and fixing the colors because of that. Thank you very much for that new tip! That helps me a lot! Thank you!

@@randy5613 So Base shape with flat color=> new layer with shading set to multiply=> each flat color layer is separated and in between the shading layer and main clipped layer. You can check marc brunet for this process as well, he explains the technique in great detail.

As the sketch progresses, the opacity of the sketch lines is gradually reduced to 75%, 50%, 20%, and so on, slowly eliminating the lines while adding details. When the sketch lines are dark, they help to define the masses of the objects and the shadows between them. As the opacity of the sketch decreases, the details between the objects are emphasized. : )

​@@Toad_Art I am doing animation course and to make traditional animation or fx I need strong drawing. It doesn't have to be realistic but line of action strokes body balance, and alot. Has to be taken care of. And I also did character design as side but my drawing wasn't that good as it was self taught. I was also worried about ai too. The motivation to improve faded but watching people like you brings my passion to do it anyway

Thanks for this video. I have a few questions: - Do you use multiply layer for B&W shading? - What is the order of shading layer & color layer? I mean, which one on top? Any blending mode in this phase? :D

Yes, it’s a multiply layer. I place the color flat layer underneath and the shading layer on top. Above that, I use a gradient map to adjust the color values. : )
