Chat is DUMB. 1 second eyesight delay versus 10 second hearing delay? With the hearing delay, your social existence is OVER. "ooohhh just tell them youre lagging" WHAT? You can't stop it. This isn't just about being functionally deaf, you're ACTUALLY going to go deaf. Don't even get me started on the werewolf shit. The first warning you get about a werewolf coming for you is the growl. You hear that, you run for your cabin's back window, and if you're lucky you're out. Easy. You don't hear it? First warning is when you see it, and by the time you see a werewolf, you're ALREADY DEAD. A second of eyesight delay might make it harder to fight it, but do you REALLY think you have a SHOT IN HELL here either way? Are you kidding me? You will NEVER be able to RKO a werewolf (but you could a vampire). If you could hear right, you'd AT LEAST have a chance to flee. It's the same with fire alarms - they don't have a visual warning. You're 10 seconds behind on the evacuation, you don't HAVE that chance everyone else does to pack your stuff before you run, you WASTED those seconds CLUELESS. Okay, now think of this: you're at work. Boss comes up behind you and yells that you need to get up and do something NOW. 10 seconds pass. You get up. He slaps you and says you're fired for being a slow useless idiot. 10 seconds pass. You start crying. He's already left.
