Fraud protection has gotten so much better over the years. You can get an email, text, and app notification every time a transaction is made. You can also lock your card after each use.

Can't believe she threw her own mom under the bus! Even under the weight of a police report saying the evidence directly shows she did it she still completely plays innocent. Also, was that not the most carefree reaction to hearing you have an arrest warrant out? Defendant was like 'ho hum' about it. And then says the relationship was on again, off again and they had lots of physical confrontations, so hey, lets make a baby!

No, she's in arbiter's court, they don't have the same power as a judge. There's an episode of judge Judy and judge Mathis where they have called the police though. Even in regular court a warrant won't get you arrested in court. I had a warrant for a traffic ticket and was in court on another matter for expired registration. The judge just told me to go to the judge in duty to have the warrant recalled and get a court date. If they catch you outside of court you're most definitely going to spend a night in jail or even a weekend.

By it being his account, Macy's was supposed to disclose everything on the account to the account holder. Even if he wanted to know the social security number of the person on the account, he's allowed to know it.

You have to have the persons social security number to even put them on your account as an authorized user in the first place. Since the show pays off the plaintiff, she just has to go to the police to say that she has paid back the plaintiff and therefore it is no longer theft, and since he had given her authorisation to use the card, again this is NOT theft...
