Today, we gonna take apart the Samsung 25W fast charger. Model is EP-TA800.
It's the first USB-C charger of Samsung and the original charger for Samsung phones.

Quick cinematography tipp: use fixed focus when you have it set on the table, it kept focusing on your hand. Also having the board a little bigger in view would be great.

Великолепный разбор. Спасибо большое. Продали мне зарядку, под видом оригинала. Внутри для тяжести положили два балансировочных груза от автомобильных колёс по 5 грамм. На входе не терморезистор, а обычный резистор. Дальше схему описывать нет смысла - китайская подделка. Восстановлю, конечно, заряжала вроде бы нормально.

You know what would be neat a list of the best chargers for different devices: Phones, tablets, laptops, etc. Maybe nothing too crazy but a top 5 or 10 list for the major devices. I know there are lists like that for computer desktop PSUs. I have been unable to find anything like that for chargers.

Which one do you prefer for better battery drain time and lifespan for s22+ , Anker powerport III 25w or this one ? Almost same price. I don't care how they are fast, for me durability and batter lifespans are important.

hello, I have a similar charger that came with my galaxy m51, it's also usbc. the charger started not working and depending on how I mess with the USB port it charges, I assume is a problem with the usbc connector, how would one replace or fix this connector?

due to chip shortages and prices rising can you do a video (20mins) on how to Safely recover working chips for other uses (recovered from laptops, chargers, led tv boards, hard drive enclosures) and their uses.

Caps are subjected to near the limit sometimes operating temperature in psu s You may look at the discoloration of the pcb or it gets darker in areas of high temperatures. Avoid taking caps from there Use soldering Station for removing parts Personally, I tried using removed mosfets, they looked fine, but blew apart when reusing. Today you can hardly reuse something unless it s new or almost new. Try opening an led bulb after 6 months of burning...look at athe board, you can see the brown area from heat.... original one, and for powerbank, my choice is 25w 10000mAh Samsung powerbank(the simple one, without wireless charging)

I suppose SAMSUNG uses proprietary charging tech - Can one use VOOC chargers of Realme oR POCO X3 Pro's chargers instead ? the concern is it should not spoil the battery of say A35/M35 that supports 25W super fast charging ?

Original chargers/ psu's are ok regarding inrush curent and ripple, Samsung has hid distinct low profile ferrite transformers. Go for the original ones, now i have in front on my desk this model în video, and the design is different and small spark gap. Also no glue/ resin on back of pcb.

Hi I wanna bypass the 230V part and use my little solar pannel that makes approx. 5V on the low voltage side on my EP-TA10XXX Rev. 1.1 Dongynang E&P. Any idea how to find info on that or simply how to accomplish that? Kind regards Mike

solar panel is direct current, you do not need rectifier all you need is voltage regulator and power delivery module no do teardown but buy component direct, is cheap

You're killing me Smalls! A few things here 1 you're the only video I'm coming across to explain the internals 2 The 25w is considered a Super Fast Charger, not fast charger (kind of a big difference 3 There's a part that seems to burnout that drops it from Super Fast Charging to Fast Charging (I'm sure there's more than just me that wants to know why) 4 Why didn't you show what's holding that plate in?! Is it one way clips, apoxy, sealed some other way?! Please, if you repost a video on this, I hope I come across it coz there's a few chargers I'd like to fix

my t800 doesn't output any power but data voltages are normal and phone shows super charging mode or i can switch to normal 5v charging, and there is no error from the phone even with normal 1h charging time 😢 i haven't another C to C cable to test and i hope the adapter wasn't the issue 😢 response me if you have any suggestions ❤

Could u also do a disessambly of the fake one ive got scammed and baught one and dont feel like forking another 40$ on the original(baught the fake thinking its legit) It output 25w of charge and can charge the phone from 0-100 in around 50min. I just want to know if its decent quality that wont affect my battery health if not guess im getting the official one now i know how to spot a fake one

When I slightly shake my charger, I can hear sometning dangling inside, like a cushioned rubber shape (the dangling sound is somehat muffled). I thought the PCB might have some free room inside the case, but I saw in your video that it has grooved holders and glue, which shouldn't allow it to dangle. Is this normal?

Not all charger will filled with silicone adhesives. So, it is normal.

Could someone recommend a good 12 volt type c car charger for a Galaxy S10+ ? My current charger barely keeps the battery level maintained let alone charged. If I drive an hour I may get 3% on the battery charge.

Only buy a charger that has the PPS feature. Without PPS, on a Samsung phone, you'll only get 15 watt charging.

i have s21 also, and USB checker with the 25watt samsung i bought separately charger it charges only 20watt at max anyway :(, so take what cheaper for you (it stll faster by about 10% faster then 15W version

Nice detailed video - I stumbled on it looking for an explanation as to why this charger is recognized as a super-fast charger by samsung devices but others such as INIU's 25w PD 3.0 fast charging mini wall charger is not - despite it being PD rated as well as all the other specs appearing to be equal. Do you have any thoughts on why this is? What makes the Samsung 25w "special" that it is properly recognized? side note - the phones report the exact same estimated charge time regardless of which of these chargers i use - also interesting that the INIU is recognized as a "Fast Charger" just not a "Super-Fast Charger" - what defines "Super" to the mobile's charging system? Thx!

It depends on the PPS protocol that INIU's 25w can support. The Samsung Super-Fast Charging is actually the PPS protocol.

It can support QC4 and cannot support QC3.0. Only the QC4+ can be compatible with QC3.0.

The 25W only means the peak power, the power will gradually decreased during the charging.

I had this charger along with Galaxy A71 (2020). Now I'm using it with Galaxy S20 FE 5G. One day, it had problems, it charges very slowly, 1 percent per 5 minutes. My observation: if it's charging normally, there's a consistent buzzing inside. But when it doesn't charge normally (starts to charge slowly), the buzzing fluctuates. The (temporary) solution was to unplug the charger then plug it again every 2 minutes. Super Fast charging is enabled, nothing is wrong with the phone. What do you think the problem of this charger? I need help, do you think it can still be repaired?

Sorry we can't judge the problem from the outside. We'll recommend you to buy a new one, cause the charger is pretty hard to be fixed.

The Samsung 25W is not a GaN charger. If you have multiple devices need to be charged at the same time. I would recommend you to buy a dual/multiple port charger. And also, UGREEN is a well-known brand, we took apart lots of products of this brad.
