Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos lost to the Los Angeles Chargers 19-16 in overtime last night and are now 2-4 on the season. The Broncos had three possessions when they were tied at 16, but each one ended in a punt. Wilson had just under 190 yards for one touchdown. Justin Herbert was also held without a TD despite throwing the ball 57 times. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes discuss the Chargers win on Monday Night Football.

@@infernodotdash2203 You aren't looking at the whole trade... 1st they got a lot more than just those 2 picks. They got two 1sts, two 2nds and 3 players PLUS unloaded a declining QB that wanted a huge contract. Now they can rebuild with a cheaper QB and a bunch of young talent. Now look at Russ in Denver.. being outplayed by his old backup by a huge margin.

Herbert was delivering balls late, cost several first downs, he recovering from a injury, he just didn't look a hundred percent.... They to me, are still number 3 in that conference, even if tua is back. Side note, Melvin Gorden would be a good trade to a team that needs a back, but just as another sold weapon. He is not clutch, but for a fumbler, usually before that happens, he has some great runs. He just doesn't warrant being the # 1 or 2 back....
@kimjongpoontv69
@kimjongpoontv69 Жыл бұрын
I agree I saw Herbert grabbing his rib area in a few of the huddles and he didn’t seem as nimble in the pocket as he usually does. It also doesn’t help not having his best 3rd down receiver as well as starting center. His receivers also do not get any separation, even Mike Williams isn’t the best route runner, but he makes up for it with his hands. Best 50/50 ball receiver in the NFL. Credit to Denver’s D though, they are legit

The old Russell Wilson never came back from that bad finger injury last season. Go look at the stats, they're steady as rock before the injury, completion % in the high 60's to high 70's, getting aTD every game, one INT in 5 games and a very consistent 115+ passer rating. Then after he rushes back from injury (3 weeks instead of 6) his comp % is the low %50s to low %60s, some games he gets no TDs, throws 6 INTs in those last 9 games, and his passer rating bounces erratically from 39 to 115. He went from a consistently very good QB to an erratic one that goes from terrible to OK, from having a couple bad games a season to every other game being bad. Here's another way to see it, he more bad games after that injury than he did in the previous 2.5 seasons combined.

Herbert his Rookie year was crazy good. The Chargers OC just runs a terrible offense. On 3rd and 5 nobody is even past the sticks half the time lmao. it's crazy

@@dponedeep what I stated the facts. Not sure your age but if you go back 10 years ago, Russell Wilson was the Darling of the NFL then like Pat is now. It was funny guys like you used to scream and kick and defend their quarterbacks of an earlier time against Russell Wilson back then. The tradition continues.

Russ missed maybe 2 or 3 open guys. The real issue is the offensive line. They can't even run the ball. Watching that game objectively even the big plays Russ made in the first quarter he did himself while the line was already collapsing. If they fix that Oline they will have a chance, if they don't it'll be a very long season.

When they hired Brandon Staley I instantly thought it was a bad idea. You have a generation talent at QB, hire an Offensive head coach. They should have hired Daball last year.

As a huge Russell Wilson fan I have to admit, he is the most disappointing player so far this season and the Broncos look atrocious.

Russ is exactly what we’re watching. Not saying Carroll is some kind of genius, but years of solid D and a running game hid it. Wilson would be a perfect fit in 2000-2013 Baltimore. Or….2015 Denver…orrrr…Seattle. Lmaooooo.

Why is the coach getting any of the blame for Russell Wilson's lack of production, when Russell Wilson said the same thing about Pete Carroll. And now the Seahawks are a better team statistically without Let's Ride Russell Wilson. All I heard in the off season was how the Broncos became an instant Superbowl contender with Russell Wilson and now it's the coaches fault.

The Wilson one does look really really bad but Red Sox and Chris sale is probably the worst contract right now
