Chargers Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack Explain New Culture Under Jim Harbaugh and Taking Pay Cuts to Win

Things ended disastrously under Brandon Staley, and several players have noticed major differences under new coach Jim Harbaugh. Joey Bosa credits Harbaugh for the winning culture he is building and why he is buying in on the chances the Chargers can win right away. Dan and David get into the latest out of Chargers minicamp and why Khalil Mack was hoping to be back with the team. Jesse Minter is ecstatic for Mack and Bosa to be rushing the passer, but he is most excited about Derwin James. Minter knows there's a fine line between versatility, and giving James too much to think about. Greg Roman also spoke with the media and gushed about Justin Hebert's ability and why the rest of the team needs to rally around him.

That Kay Adams talk about average scoring defense over a QBs career was validation for me. Average of 28th scoring defense over Herbert's career. Tom Brady 1st, Lamar Jackson 1st, Mahomes 7th. Big Ben 2nd, etc.

Jim Harbaugh's Stanford was always going to be less talented than Pete Carroll's USC. Jim Harbaugh's Michigan was always going to be less talented than Ryan Day's Ohio State... not to mention that Rose Bowl game against Nick Saban's Alabama. Jim Harbaugh knows how to get a team to win... make your team hard to break, and break the other team. That's how you beat talent.

Do y'all remember Brandon Staley? Without his incomprehensible coaching and beta-male personality, the Spanos family would never have had to open their wallet and turn over their franchise to Harbaugh, et al. The Raiders game is the most consequential loss in team history, and the greatest blessing.

Well we don’t really know why Keenan chose the money over the Chargers. Maybe he needs all those Benjamins for some reason unknown to us.🤷‍♀️ I wish him well but hope he doesn’t help his new team too much.😆

@@thesockphenom I could argue that Justin Herbert had no other veterans to throw the ball to so of course he could have the best year he’s had in quite a while. He’s a great route runner with no breakaway speed and he’s old. Glad he’s freezing up in Chicago!

Saying Keenan is selfish is crazy the year before he took a cut the man is 32 he can't play ball forever and he has to look out for his family after his career is over. I just keep getting images of the 90s SB team but with a QB and WRs that can actually really take advantage of defenses stacking the box. Also, that same team ran people over and sucked the life out of defenses. LT was better, but he wasnt running guys over regularly, he was much more elusive than smash mouth. Defensively, i honestly cant remember a stretch of years where the defense was elite. All the way back to the Fouts years the focus has been offense, and more often than not a pass happy one. Its exciting but it hasnt gotten the team to the promiseland. A coach and an organization that recognizes defense does actually win championship is refreshing. Hopefully they can make that happen.

Yes Bosa has been injury prone, but if we being honest people hated on him because of the playoff loss people blame him for it tryn to say his penalty was the reason we lost when I reality the team fell apart. I say this because people were crying and whining about losing Mike Williams, and he was in the same situation

Was he ? The dropped passes just keep on coming & the hurt / injuries did , also ? 2 years ago , when he couldn't get healed week after week , I was ready to move on form him in that year ? I did come back to him last year , BUT, all the bad signs did show up later on , AGAIN ? Was a great player & he belongs in the Chargers Ring of Honor , BUT , like Bosa , it was & is time to move on .
