yea as a chiefs fan its been awful watching the offense for most of the year. but its typical andy reid football to basically win the game in the 1st half and then do nothing and abandon everything that works in the 2nd half and let the opponent come all the way back, its been like this ever since 2013 its just more noticeable cos theyre not going 9-7, 10-6 or 11-5 anymore

@@Buchanan909The Chiefs as a whole don’t look terrible. The Chiefs had the game won against Philly and Detroit but drops cost them. Their defense has been top 5 all season. Don’t pretend like the chiefs are bad because they have lost close games. Their worst loss was to Denver and they had several drops in that game as well. Mahomes is still Mahomes. The league better hope that the Chiefs receivers continue to wet the bed because once they start playing better, this team will be very hard to beat because Mahomes finally has a defense backing him up

This is a poorly coached team. Nobody is winning with that guy. Give Herbert a real coach and let's see how he does. If he is still losing then he can start getting a majority of blame. Seeing Staley's awful job and choosing to put most of this on Herbert is malpractice and they are just trying to carry a narrative.

@morganyu812 Last night wasn't the defense, Dallas wasn't the defense, Tennessee they had the ball at the end of the game AND in OT and lost, last year in Jax the Chargers defense forced 5 turnovers and he had a 27-0 lead and couldn't close the game out? Shane Steichen makes a huge impact on qbs. As soon as he shows up the qbs play like crazy and when he leaves it’s like it’s just a step down from what they were. Two examples are Justin Herbert and jalen hurts.

My problem is that everything gets glossed over with him. His team is bad, his coach is bad but he’s amazing. He can’t be trusted when he has to push downfield and score. Happened against the Dolphins (before Ramsey was on the team), happened against the Cowboys, and it happened here. And I will say that the throws that are available, for touchdowns, he misses by a country mile.

I don’t think Herbert is most to blame obviously. Brandon Staley needs to go and this defense has been horrendous. But I gotta give Herbert some blame too. You’re a 250 million dollar man. As joy said, you had five opportunities to go win games and you’re 0 for 5. Not saying he had to win all 5, and not saying all 5 are solely on Herbert. But if you are paid a certain amount of money as an nfl qb, you make things work when stuff isn’t ideal. Mahomes up to now had no defense. Lamar up to this year had no receivers and a bad offensive coordinator. josh allen has worked without a run game. but these guys still find ways to win. joe burrow gpt to a super bowl with no offensive line. for me to really put herbert up there with those guys, hes gotta win more.

If you want Hebert to win more give him more to work with? Mahomes defenses were good ENOUGH, statistically above average his Super Bowl years. Lamar has had decent to good receivers, a run game, good o line and great defenses and coaching. Only thing burrow didn’t have was an o line, only thing Allen didn’t have was a run game. Herbert has no run game, has no defense, has awful coaching, and his receivers are once again hurt and unavailable. So I would like a genuine answer what more would you like him to do? Nobody ever seems to be able to give a straight answer

the chargers are giving up the 9th most points & THE most yards a game on defense. vs the packers was literally not herberts fault. im not even gonna get into the bad playcalling. im not saying herbert has been perfect but hes one of the toughest & best players on this team. hes gotta start having those defining moments but the entire team needs to do their part 1 man can only do so much.

Name me one quarterback that has a terrible coach and is still good? You can’t name one! Hurts has an very good coach, Mahommes has one of the best coaches int he history of the game, Tua got a good coach, Lamar has had a good a coach. None of these qbs have gone through seasons, not just 1 season, multiple seasons with a terrible coach and injuries in key positions. Mahommes has never not had Kelce, tuas literally had hill and waddle almost every game and is now looking good, hurts has always had an elite offense around him and when he didn’t he looked average, it doesn’t matter what y’all say Herbert is not the only one to blame for the chargers being terrible this season. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve any blame but he does not deserve all of it at all!

Some people on this segment are d.a.f. All those QBs mentioned have good to elite coaches which is equally important. The Chargers have one of the worst HCs in football who doesn't know how to coach the defense and gets out-coached situationally by better coaches and fails to adjust. They've also had a bottom 5 defense every year since Staley became HC. Do those other QBs have bottom 5 defenses? Sure Herbert could do better but he's the reason why they're even in close games. He'll put up 38 and the defense will allow 41. The offense gets rolling in GB and Keenan drops TD passes and Ek fumbles. Same thing against BAL. When Tyler Boyd or or MVS drops a TD pass, it's their fault and not Burrow's or Mahomes' fault but this shows puts everything on Herbert because he lives rent free in their brains.
