Excellent review. The statement you made about being too technical is not a problem. I prefer that you get technical on the description because it answers questions that I usually have after some other videos I have watched. Wow, very nice! I have old SKYRC Q200 and it's amazing charger so I probably won't upgrade it to NEO but I love the Neo's form factor - it's super small! Definitely one of the best chargers for new people coming to the hobby.

Thanks Steve! An excellent review of this product. Shows how reviews should be done - all information included plus steady, unobscured, in focus views of all areas and information panels plus SHORT!! 👍👍😊 Still wouldn't buy 1 though. Don't need all the phone ap tripe (no phone) and 4 simple single chargers are a better deal than 1 combined fancy unit (unless the total price is substantially less) since, if 1 of the simple units dies, you are still in business. If the fancy unit dies you've got an expensive doorstop! 😉

I bought this charger after watching your video and I am satisfied. I really like the speed of the menu compared to my old Hota F6 charger and the fact that it does not need an external power supply like the Hota D6 Pro. The advantage is the relatively quiet fan, and the disadvantage is the relatively low charging power. When charging 4x 6S 2000Mah batteries, you can feel that this is the maximum capacity of this charger (from the AC socket). Overall, I really like it.

@@celaleddinozer144Both are great. I chose q200 because I am charged to fly twice as fast (4ch vs 2ch in HotaD6). The Q200 has Bluetooth and a nice option to mark batteries with a QR code, but the application does not provide the full potential of this functionality. Such as collecting battery health statistics.

Doesn’t seem to have a power supply mode like the Hota D6 Pro. I have used that feature many times while testing or calibrating certain electronics

Ohms law. Battery voltage - for 4 2s lipos 400w (total dc power)/4(per channel)/7.6v(2s voltage) = 13A per channel

I wish all charger reviews were this informative and well presented, a template for others to follow, thank you! A noob like me does however miss one point in ALL presentations of LIPO chargers, time for discharging and putting batteries into storage level charge. This seems to be vital in gaining long life and secure handling. In other words, a unit that can charge and discharge in a reasonable amount of time is important. Do I need to get a separate discharge unit? A practical issue and question. I have bought 2 pcs 6S 6000 mAh 100 C LIPO batteries and charging them seems a breeze. But, what if I come home with one or both of them unused and want to bring them down to safe storage levels, what time does it take? Many thank in advance + thanks for excellent presentation

So you would place your 6s batteries on the charger and select STORAGE. Only select DISCHARGE if the battery has an issue such as one cell doesn’t seem to charge fully by a large amount. On STORAGE, you can select the number of AMPS/CURRENT (6 amps for a 6000mAh) but it doesn’t matter because you’re pulling current out. The cell voltage that you wish to bring the cells down to will probably show 3.7 which is common for storage. Press START & the charger fan will come on as the battery is powering it to suck out the current. STORAGE is pretty much a set time period and you can’t speed it up much…. Unless you take the current out of one battery to charge another battery (more advanced method of storage on a charger).

Ohm's law - for ac on 2s lipos 200w/4 (#of channels)/7.6 (2s voltage)= 6.5A per channel for 2s on AC

Sorry, I have passed this unit onto my brother, so can’t check. I will say most chargers that have a discharge function and a DC battery input, will take the voltage from the full battery (I.e., discharge it) to charge one or two other batteries.

Hi Steve,I have the previous version of this charger and it's great, but the bluetooth connection is terrible. Maybe 10 feet before it loses connection. Is this new one any better?

It will charge a battery as small as a 2s battery (you need at least two cells in the battery). It won't chare a 1s battery at 3.7 volts because there is nothing to balance.

It says 1-6s lipos on the specs. Most smart charger WILL charge 1 cell lipos you just select charge and set to 4.2v . No kidding it doesn’t balance a 1 cell lipo but it will charge a 1 cell lipo to 4.2volts. Do your homework captain drone if your going to do reviews and get paid for it. There is so much miss information coming from these popular KZfaqrs it’s ridiculous. I only watched this video because your the only one so far with this charger other than that I will not support your channel.

Ok that has to be thr new version of mine. Mine has an app that won't work with my s23 ultra. You can scan qr codes on some batteries and it automatically sets the charger up to charge that battery

Since they are 6000 mAh you’d need to select 6 amps per channel. It can charge them but you can’t fast charge them.

You can charge any type of 3S battery, but you will need to get yourself the XT30 to XT60 connector cable (you can find them on AMAZON).

Yes, just change end voltage per cell to the voltage you wish. So instead of 4.2 volts, go with 4.3 or 4.4 volts.

two questions: - how loud is the fan? this is one of the really important things to me - does the app give you a notification, when a battery is fully charged? like you would get a message from whatsapp f.e.

Fan is the same volume as other chargers on the market. If you’re in the app it will tell you that the Charge is done.

Probably not. Balance charge works off a balance plug for Individual cells and not a pile of cells.

Charging nimh cells is a different method than lipo. If you have a 6 cell nimh pack then just select nimh and number of cells in the charger and the way the charger charges nimh packs basically detects the packs cells have all peaked and shuts off the charge. This technique basically balances the cells.

Warum sind bei AC es nur 200 W? Wäre je Akku 50Watt. Bsp: 4 Akku mit 11,1V (3S) und 5A/h ist 55,5W würde dann nicht mehr gehen? Why is AC only 200 W? Each battery would be 50 watts. Example: 4 batteries with 11.1V (3S) and 5A/h is 55.5W would then no longer work?

Yikes!!! You may wish to use my discount coupon. Also 6 week? That sounds like the old Banggood from years ago. In Canada/US, slow shipping times are around 3 weeks unless available in US warehouse (then it is a couple of days).
