I just bought this one too. The manual says if the batterys in the vehicle, and the negative is grounded to the frame (most cars and trucks have negative grounded to chasis) hook the negative to the chasis/frame/or engine not to the negative battery terminal. Thanks for the video though! Good luck

I have one too, read the directions and yes YOU have to choose the AGM mode, that part is not automatic, good luck

Bought the same charger today for my C5 Corvette. The instructions say the charger will automatically determine between 6 or 12v, but you have to choose using mode button what kind of battery you have (Std or Agm).

4 modes to choose from on this specific charger. You should also find out which post is grounded to vehicle and hook up charger accordingly if charging while still in vehicle(most vehicles are negative grounded). If so hook up the positive first then the negative and THEN plug in to the extension cord. And use the appropriate gauge extension cord as well for the distance of cord length ran.

What is the winter mode? The manual doesn’t say.

Seems like you have to choose the specific battery? Might get one this winter

Yes battery you must choose, everything most everything else is auto. So much for fully automatic.

It's a good buy. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Did it get wet? I have ruined more chargers than I can count on one hand.

Does the screen in red means the battery is bad because I have this same exact battery charger and I'm lost

The red (orange) backlight means charging in progress, then when it decides the battery is full, it switches to green.

That stopping (and restarting, hopefully) of charge is the only "fully automatic" thing, I think. On mine, the mode button cycles through 6v/12v, standard lead acid or AGM, and winter/not winter, for 8 possible modes. I have yet to determine if it stays in the last mode it was used in, when unplugged from AC power and reconnected... am hoping it does, as this will make my use case with AGM's, and wanting a maintenace charger onboard my work truck, that I plug in as needed with a shore-line.
