This project started off as a Latest Talks+ project, but quickly became extremely costly and complex. Despite the challenges, we continued forward because we believed this information would greatly benefit our loyal Latest Talks+ members. After speaking with Yiddishe DAF sponsor companies to research and confirm the accuracy of our script, they suggested making it an official project for Purim, especially considering that we were just two weeks away, and Purim is unarguably the single biggest day of charity giving by Klal Yisroel.

One very important detail you forgot to mention: if someone is not itemizing their deductions on their tax return (which is most people), charity and DAF’s have absolutely no tax benefit for them.

We explained the concept of a DAF so you can understand what it is and use it for Ma'aser and Tzedaka. No need to invest anything.

Thanks for the feedback. The property was sold for a million, 10% partnership for the DAF sponsor, 90% for you. The 10% of the DAF is still considered by the IRS as your charity givings, and the 90% partnership you owe taxes on, gets reduced to 80%.

It's just an example to understand the concept; every property is different, and there can be many other factors that could change the details. We would advise contacting The Donors Fund and consulting with them on individual cases.

Yes, definitely needs clarification, because let's say the property cost 800k and you make your DAF account a 10% partner, are they partner in the property itself? That means DAF owns 80k of the property before making any profit
