It's nice that Barkely wants equal pay for all athletes, but equal pay is equal pay. For everyone. Not just athletes. No doubt his and most people's answer, that the average wage slave doesn't generate the same amount of revenue as athletes and therefore don't deserve to be paid as much as them, is the very same thing preventing female athletes from being paid more. 99% of the time someone talks about equal pay, they're really talking about equal pay in certain demographics. Either you think ALL people should be compensated equitably, or you really just want SOME people to be paid more. The latter is just a modified meritocracy, dependent on opportunity and circumstance. To the WNBA's credit, their strategy has largely been, conscious or not, gaslighting and shaming consumers into liking them. I give them credit because it has worked. There are many ways to make money and not all are straightforward.

I believe Charles is wrong about the school admin and teachers needing to make sure these young black athletes graduate with a degree. You simply cannot place that responsibility on them. It all starts at home. There is an epidemic of black children growing up with no fathers, and their mothers are out working to make ends meet. As long as those black students continue to live in that kind of home environment, it's not going to work. The responsibility rests on the parents / grandparents to instill the right character and motivation into those kids.

Thats when I stopped watching. They think the public is stupid. I watch LeBron pass the ball because he can't make a basket more than three feet from the basket, throwing himself down when he's hardley touched, traveeling and never called on it. LeBron is the biggeest farce and I lose respect for Barkley for sitting there lying and if he isn't lying something is missing big time from Barkley.Pathetic.
