any recommendations for the best companies for Surety bonds (BMC-84)? also, I notice on the FMCSA website it says you can file for your BOC-3 yourself if you're a broker in your state, is this recommended or do you recommend getting an agent/representative even in the state you live in?

International Sureties with Jessica Palmeri. Also, file BOC-3 using an agent and not yourself.

but how much can that insurance that you mentioned, the one that costs up to $75k?

You are referring to the surety bond - BMC 84. It depends on your credit. Range can be between $750 and $3,000

Someone told me that in order start a freight brokerage you need to have 75k in the bank. That the fmcsa is no longer allowing you to get bonded for that 75k
