Seems silly, in a way, that he keeps repeating that line, but in the end it actually gives me more confidence that he'll win because he's driving the message home to his subconscious that he is truly the very best, and this will make winning tonight seem natural to him. This self-brainwashing technique is something we should all take note of if we wish to perform at our best. I wish I did it more myself.

This translator is a prime example of a man who got hired to do a job and saw it as an opportunity of a lifetime considering the employer and instead of saying “ah I finally made it, time to let off the gas” he said “it’s time to elevate to a higher level, get intimate with the fighters and really get into a character that makes me stick out immediately in a likeable way” and he executed it perfectly. Go look at the way in results it did every single person who weighed in except for a couple was .5 over that goes for 205ers 155ers 170 years all were .5 over, it only affected Charles because that's the title fight and title fights don't get the extra pound like normal fights do

I hope the majority of fans get behind this man if he wins because this whole thing seems sketchy AF!! I’m hearing apparently multiple fighters complained the ufc scales in the back were not correctly calibrated to hearing Olivera say he stripped down and the weight didn’t move at all to how very conveniently this “situation” lines up quite perfectly for a Mcgregor comeback fight for a now vacant title… Shxt just isn’t adding up

Well he was 1 pound over than lost .5 only. He knew from the first weigh in he needed to cut 1 pound regardless if the scale was off or not. Maybe it was .5 he only needed to cut so he would have made it but he wouldn't have known that he only would have known about the full pound. He makes weight if it wasn't a title fight.

I'd root for Gaethje if it were an even playing field, if the UFC wasn't trying to sabotage Oliveira. Gaethje is popular and very exciting. Oliveira earned the championship, more so than any of his predecessors, he's an incredible warrior.

This is honestly crazy. He has been in lightweight now for a while and never missed weight before this. Featherweight is a whole other discussion because even as a 20 year old he was still way too big for that division. They have to look at the scale.

True, supposedly there is a rumor that the scale was slightly off, even still though it could have something to do with him getting older, as it gets harder to cut weight with age, hence in your 20s it would be easier than mid to late 30s.

Tony literally bounced on the scale and it was slamming back and forth. Tony should have been fined heavily for actually trying to ruin the scale. Obviously slamming a scale around isn't good for it's accuracy. But also, I don't think blaming the scale in the back room is really a valid excuse. I like Charles a lot. But he has missed weight on 4 other occassions, and he did get a 2nd chance to make the weight. What was the reason he missed weight on the 2nd attempt?
