Even for Québec, you mustard seeds are more than half a century out of date. Get Les Invasions Barbares and fast-forward to the scene where the art dealer is asked to appraise the commercial value of hundreds of church statues and other religious objects from abandoned Québec churches. I can think of nothing that more vividly shows the bankruptcy of religion as a source of anything in the 21st century.

A voluble, recondite, and at times pretentious peregrination into the heady waters of social theory, deconstruction, and organized religion. Taylor is a test of patience for those trained to think clearly and to speak in straightforward ways... Do not lose sight of the "simplicity of the gospel" lest you counterfeit the demand to walk in faith...

Yes, he tends to talk around the topic. In brief, unbundling means re-seeing the Kingdom. Which means the mustard seed growing. Which is connected to kenosis and so being able to see the other (and not resorting to rules). Journeying, doubt enabling growth, an ecumenism of sharing, re-doing the top down.

Christians today take little to no time to actually consider intellectual and historical studies, nonetheless actually put it into practicality for the sake of faith. Evangelicalism has dumbed down this very aspect that we desperately need today, we've become too simple at the stake of the Gospel. This isn't counterfeiting at all.
