the issue was that james shaved his head before the recording of the movie scenes because he knew xavier was bald when older, but when he got into the studios they told him they were gonna make xavier bald at the very end fo the movie, they needed james to have hair at the beginning, which means they had to use a wig, the hair you see in this scene is a wig, thats why it looks weird also.

i liked how given everything that happned in the past charles treated raven like nothing had changed even though she didn't want to stay there, he welcomed her home treating her no different than the day she stepped foot in his house disguised as his mom

I miss this version of J-Law. She's still an amazing woman today, but I think her peak beauty (and energy) was during the X-Men Series. Once she was done with the Hunger Games and X-Men Franchise I think she wanted to focus on the next chapter of her life (family, and not being so tied up with acting).

It is something that always bugged me, I think it would have been fine if all the movies just took place in the late 60's-early 70's and just had the main mutants around at that time. Sure we wouldn't have gotten Quicksilver, Nightcrawler, Cyclops or Jean Grey but that's fine. The movies should have always been focused mostly on Charles and Erik anyway. It's why I think Days of Future Past is the best X-Men movie ever made.

The thing I find the most horrifying is Xavier's very casual, uncaring manner in which he states he took Moira's memories. Mental rape and murder passed off with a smirk. This is why telepaths are the most feared of super humans, there is noting you can do to stop them rewriting your entire life and turning you into a puppet.

I appreciated that about this series, as much as it faltered. In many adaptations, Prof X is this ultimate good that Magneto’s impatience is getting in the way of. In this series both men’s personalities and ideology made them monsters, and Mystique, somewhat of a monster herself, balances their ideologies to suggest something here that transforms Charles’ ridiculously optimistic university into the next generation of X-men.

I mean, he didn't say if he did it with consent or not; if someone is acting with integrity, i'd normally think you'd gather consent before casually erasing chunks of their lived experiences. Telepaths would, if anything, *know* that consent is important, because they'd be able to see and *feel* the damage nonconsensual acts would leave. And Moira, as a character, does seem to be someone who would voluntarily give up those memories to ensure the safety of someone innocent.

Cinematic Erik is a self-centered, opportunistic parasite. Outside of some very mild affection, he never truly cared about Charles and treated all of the mutants as disposable.

He stopped Charles from killing all mutants so he sorta “rescued” him.Strykers’ plan was to have his son manipulate Charles to use a homemade Cerebro to focus on all Mutants;because if Charles focuses hard enough on a person using “Cerebro”,it would kill them (He says it earlier in a conversation with Wolverine).Magneto then used the chance to make it so Charles instead focused on all non-mutants.Plus,he only helped out to stop mutants from being killed;I doubt he’d care if someone he didn’t know and/or care about were to be harmed.

@@matthewschwartz6607 Whilst he and Charles refer to each-other as “old friends”;they don’t necessarily treat eachother as such.They more so treat each-other as sorta friendly rivals;Charles sees Magneto as someone who needs to “see the light” and too rageful towards non-mutants.Magneto sees Charles as someone who’s just a wishful thinker and his wishful thinking will just get him and everyone he cares about killed.Magneto see the idea of mutants and non-mutants treating each-other as equals as utterly impossible.(only in Apocalypse (when the timelines change) does he actually treat it as possible).

X-Men First Class (2011) my favorite childhood memories. X-Men Days Of Future Past (2014) my favorite one. X-Men Apocalypse (2016) was badass. X-Men Dark Phoenix (2019) was ok.

@@matthewschwartz6607 It wasn't the masterpieces the earlier films in the series were. Unlike MCU films, each X-Men movie was almost perfect, with amazing characters and brilliant fight scenes. Dark Phoenix excited me initially, but the way it played out made no sense and the story suffered due to that.

Deleting horrible memories is a gift. Now we only have therapy to try to get over trauma, but it is not that effective and it is expensive and painfully slow.

J Law was hot off those hunger games movies and I think that probably helped her land a big part in these X-Men movies. I don't necessarily think she did a terrible job in these, but I do think that it would have been better if they didn't make her into such a big role to the plot of these movies. Maybe Mystique could have been written into a smaller role, or perhaps they could have put J Law into a smaller role and someone else could have played Mystique idk

I think her attitude is exactly the reason this Mystique should be a teacher at the school. Charles may be helping kids be able to accept themselves (albeit in an annoyingly touchy fee-fee way) but she is right in that the kids need to be strengthened against the outside world that actively hates them and she could hopefully do that without causing them to hate back at the world potentially leading to violence. (Don’t think I don’t see the parallels with the black community and the differing MartinLutherKing and Malcolm X movements) Exposing the kids to different ideologies can help them become more well-rounded personalities and not one-dimensional characters that are inflexible to change or hardship, undoubtedly to their detriment.
