I was using Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt but asked you for recommendation when I wanted something different -- you recommended the Apollo Twin and I purchased the UA Apollo Twin x Quad and have been very happy with it. the Apollo is easier to work with, although I imagine (I don't know for sure) the quality is possibly better with the Apogee. My primary interest was the plethora of plugins that UA offers and they have been very useful. I record primarily keyboard generated with Arturia and Native Instruments software, on an Arturia Keylab 88 MkII, but also live piano on my Steinway B, using two Neumann U87s. All works well with the Apollo and the compact size fits better in my workspace. Great videos, Charles -- I continue to learn much from you. Cheers, Gavin

Awesome to hear Gavin, congrats on such a nice purchase. I recently bought the UAD 1073 pre amp which you can use with your Apollo. It made a big difference in my recordings and I'm really happy with it. I can recommend it if you're doing a lot of vocal recordings.

Hey Atibu, I think that's a great option, I've heard good things already and I like Arturia as a company. I don''t have first experience with their interfaces though. Besides that, I could recommend Focusrite or Apogee as good beginner options too.
