If you've been playing for 10 years then I assume you have at least moderate reading and technical skills. So now what I encourage you to do to help you improve with jazz (mainly improv) is to transcribe pieces that you like (listen, learn how to play, then write them down) and transcribe the chords as well. Once you do that, you can find all the II-V-Is and take the licks from those parts and incorporate those into your own improv.... Wow, that was a lot... Good luck!

also never ever use sheet music, learn songs by ear and make your own chord and melody sheet.

You can also look to songwriting/commercial harmony, gives chord structures and theory for songs

You should definitely look into some more channels that explain music like this. Learning the theory behind the music is like when Penn and Teller show the technique behind the magic trick. It's awesome and really helps you appreciate the craft.

If you're interested in music theory in general I'd definitely recommend Adam Neely's channel - he makes really good and informative videos :)

I absolutely love Adam's videos. He does an INCREDIBLE amount of research and presents extremely difficult topics in a great way. But yes, if I didn't have the education I'm fortunate enough to have, I would likely struggle to follow along, so I totally understand. Thanks for the support!!
