He said grandfather's grandfather so that would be your great great grandfather. My grandpa was born the year the Charleston was created but his grandfather was already dead by then. His Mum died the decade before I was born so I missed the chance to learn from her (if she even had the chance to learn it whilst looking after 13 kids of her own & several others from her partner's previous marriage) My NanNan (my great grandma on dad's side) might've known it, but she was nearing 100 (died 101) so wouldn't have been able to do so physically. She did tell me in great detail how to kill a chicken correctly though.

I once heard it’s pronounced “Pea-cahn”, because a “pee-can” is something a Texan takes on a road trip 😂😂

I’m in Charleston. Hearing you say it and lowcountry threw me for a loop

I’m still amazed that, despite making tons of deserts, Dylan is still so incredibly skinny! Either he won the genetic lottery, or does a ton of cardio.

I live for these videos. You smile with your whole head and I love it. It's so genuine

Did anybody else notice that Dylan still has trouble with egg shells IN the recipe? Don't worry Dylan, that is one more smile you brought me tonight.

I have never thought how good something sounded when you bit into it until this recipe. The crunch makes me want to bake this

Okay that wasn’t just me?? The crunch happened and the pecans and brown sugar found themselves in my grocery order. They’re in the oven right now.
