my unfit self thought "oh, this doesn't look too hard". 5 minutes of practicing later I've smacked my ankles together several times and I'm drenched in sweat. I will never underestimate this man's power again

Try doing it slow at first!! Do it faster once you get the hang of it, that'll prevent the accidental harm to oneself, if you figure out the correct distance required for your legs!

Use socks when learning. Get that muscle memory in so you don't accidentally twist your ankle when starting. I also recommend a chair or table to your side for balance.

For a simplified version: (you can choose whatever foot for the steps but we’ll use left) left foot infront. Right foot infront. Right foot behind. Left foot behind. Repeat the process and make it smoother and faster!
