maybe you should stop doing it then because unfortunately this we thing you speak of isnt real.. you can really only speak for yourself and all the people you actually know and met in your life on earth but you deffinately cant prove you know what all black people on earth or any people on earth most deffinately hate or love.. the problem is alot of people think they know the facts, thats how the problem starts and they deflect and start thinking their self destruction is somehow something we can all share and relate to.. its like if a person is smoking crack and says "we need to stop doing drugs, its killing us" how the hell am i suppose to relate to him or even allow him to lie like that.. like no.. that shit applies to you.. i hate when people say "we" need to do this and that because "we" do this or that... how tf could you possibly prove you are absolutely undeniably correct and not lying.. cause since what you said doesnt apply to me or anyone in my house nor many of friends then your comment is proven to be lie. All because your afraid to point the finger at self and stop blaming others.. nevermind what others do if you do it too..

I am 29 years old and I've been rapping since 19. And everything he said was true. Literally hurts my heart on how accurate he was. I don't wanna rap no more fr after watching this. I really haven't rapped since I was 27 but I no longer want to spend time in the "studio". My whole 20s were spent on making music and this sh*t hasn't paid off yet so I really feel like I wasted my own time and I feel like I spent all that time perfecting a hobby. Not a career. I drive trucks for FedEx now. That's my career. Idk who needs to hear this but I just had to speak from my side. To this day I'm still in denial with myself, thinking one day one of my songs will blow up but it never has and it never will. So focus on what's right. If you ain't got a following already or a good story then the sh*t ain't gone work. You can be the best rapper and your sh*t will fall on deaf ears. The times have changed.

I made that decision at 28…13 years ago…i don’t regret in hindsight. There so many things you can do in this world Being able to sing and play instruments have longevity. Rapping has an expiration date. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself. You still have the world in front of you. So many things you can do. And if u still want to rap. Bravo! Pursue the Will of God in your life ‼️ since you’re beginning to do so, you’re a reasonable man and a star, especially in the sight of God. If you wash dishes then wash em for Jesus; if you cook a meal you’re cooking for Jesus; if you take a nap get some sleep for Jesus! - *1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or WHATSOEVER YE DO, do ALL to the glory of God.* - *Colossians 3:17 And WHATSOEVER ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.* - *Colossians 3:23 And WHATSOEVER ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men* You’re just as important as king David was in the sight of the Lord. I wish you prosperity and success, this is not the end but this is the beginning of traveling on The correct road. The Lord, God the Son, Christ Jesus has a Directive & Permissive Will for your life. Choose 1 and let’s pursue it. We’ll have grace to do everything we should, our lives will be indestructible until it’s completed, we’ll have direct/close personal contact with the Lord, along with all His wisdom, knowledge, unction, and Spirit. In the multitude of counselors you prepare war

I started recording when I was 14. I'm not mad at him for his viewpoint, but don't stop doing what you love because this man said to stop. I stopped taking Rap as a career seriously a long time ago. It never really has come at a huge cost to me because we always had studios that we could go to for free that believed in us when we were young. At 39, I'm recording because my son asked me to record some new music...not looking for fame. Just giving my son what he asked me for.

Similar story. Ill be 39 in a few weeks and in my 20s i was rapping. My daughter heard some of my songs and told me i was her favorite rapper lol. It really warmth my heart and now I want to put something out for her. I think the key is the matter you put out at that age. Nobody wants to hear a 39 year old trap rapper. I feel like the music should be more mature and teach lessons to the younger generation in a way they can relate too without sounding lame lol

What he was saying about chicago ppl is %100 true. I moved away to Minnesota when i was 16 in 2006 and i had the same mentality. Thought i was better than everybody else because i had seen so much and been in the streets. Only wore Bulls bears and sox stuff so ppl would know right away where i was from. Had that “try me if you want too im from Chicago” mentality. thought ppl from everywhere else weren’t on my level etc. thinking ppl were supposed to be afraid of me. Then i started meeting different ppl and races and cultures. Started realizing i was acting foolish as hell. Talking to ppl and seeing how they looked at chicagoans and what they thought of us. Seeing other ppl come from chicago and being annoyed with them for acting out. I know exactly what he means. Im 33 now and i dont even tell ppl i meet for the first time where im from. Because i dont want that stigma on me without ppl knowing me for me. Moral is it aint where u from its where you at. There big bad mfs everywhere and just because i grew up hard doesn’t mean anyone else in a different state didnt. Im glad i was able to come to MN at a young age and grow into the man i needed to be

I learned this young. In 1993. That the rap world you had ti have a crew. Thugs and fighters. I never wanted my friends harmed bevause of me. I rapped and recorded but knew in 90s you had to risk it in the streets. All our loved rappers from the 90s still working. None can retire. Sad genre

22:33 hit home for me. I remember growing up having all the manners and being polite to niggas as a kid, and MFs being hostile towards me regardless. Over the years, I had to learn that not everybody is qualified for your kindness. But that's the result of a boy being raised by a woman who thinks she can raise a man. Boys need some kind of positive and strong male figures in their lives if they don't have fathers in the home. That's to teach them that there's a difference between being kind and being a doormat. Men teach boys strength and assertiveness. Women teach boys to be the men they don't have

In other words, if you don’t have a bad boy street rhetoric behind your music as an artist which is considered”motion” or as a female artist , if your not over sexual there’s no hope in the rap game for you to have financial gain. Because the industry is not searching for talent. There looking for those that can serve the agenda. How is it that we’ve thrived so long when it comes to music. But no person of color owns a major record label. And if they do. They are the ones put in place to futher push the agenda. Like puff and jay z. But when the industry is tired of you before you leave the industry. As a person of color. You will not leave with a respectable legacy. And you better not try to leave owning something. Take Michael Jackson and bill cosby for example. All the media has to do is paint the narrative. And yall will believe it.
