How can you have difficulty understanding the New testament? How is that even possible? So he decided to snub the Old Testament, rejects Jesus and instead follows the Jewish Tanakh. -From the same people that condemned jesus and currently still despise him today... Well done.

@@terryh4987 It was more the Jewish elite who feared the truth in the teachings of Jesus who called for his execution, which was the main reason why he came in the first place. I doubt the Jewish man who learned Hebrew in order to understand the Hebrew texts could really point out many differences in meanings between the originals and the translations as I don't believe God would allow it, he's using the same tired explanation Muslims give when they argue the Koran.

Biblically speaking, thats not how Jesus tells us to preach the Word. In fact, the Bible has many very eccentric preachers. Some were soft spoken and patient, others lived in the wild using feices to cook their food naked to get the Truth though. Jesus also tells us to loudly preach the good word from the rooftops. The point is, there isn't one way to preach thats the correct way. As so long as you are preaching the truth as the Bible states it.

I will say Charlie, please do explore the arguments the Jewish gentleman made. I find the Jewish argument against the divinity of Christ very strong and more logical than the Christian argument.

@RagingBull_UK3 ай бұрын
@DARKNESS66611 I would say you're wrong. When looking at the largest denominations (Catholicism and Orthodoxy), as well as the historical church, belief is not enough. I have heard a saying before which says even the donkeys on the fields believe and the devil himself, but are they saved? This 'saved' is a very modern concept from radical reformers after the Prostestant Reformation. True Christiains know that the christian life is a hard one, where you die to yourself and follow strict dogmas of behaviour or risk eternal damnation. Of course, the church gives you the grace of confession for when you do mess up, but be prepared to be in that room a lot as the list of damnable sins is very long.
@RJG53 ай бұрын
@@RagingBull_UK its open to interpretation, being used solely for power and control. The 'church' aka the vatican has also laundered money for the mafia, using dirty money to fight communism. The 'god' of this worlds sole representative at the times has also been photographed with people such as savile and hitler. Promoting self-righteousness or pride would be the works of the evil one but its not hard to see that the 'god' of this world could easily be considered evil.

Learning the original language is great and all but you're still dependant on your teachers. Theres no way to get the full message unless we were there. Translations come in many different forms, but the important thing is the message that they share, which in many jewish and christian religious texts is quite consistent.
