The sad thing is: I’ve heard they’ve been brainwashed by the Adelsons and don’t want anything to do with the Markels. They probably have been made to believe that the Adelsons had nothing to do with the murder and are being framed by the Markels. One of the boys has had regular phone calls with CA in jail. I really hope the conviction puts some doubt in their minds but it honestly might not…

She stuttered as well…with feigned anger. I didn’t believe her for a second. She was mostly composed…but in a bizarre almost robotic way. I hope she’s charged first for her obvious perjury…after which her immunity is null and void…and then gets charged for conspiracy to commit the murder of the father of her children. Evil evil evil. That family is pure evil.

Her ex Jeff who testified against her is also a complete loser who exposed himself as a heartless human being who didn't even have the humanity to give Dan a heads up that his ex wife wanted to bump him off and (in his own words) it was "NOT A JOKE." Way to go, loser!

What a heart breaking story. His children will never grow up to know their father because their mother wanted her way or else. She undoubtedly knew because the killers knew exactly where he was and that he would be leaving town the next day. Who else would know this but his ex wife.

I believe Wendi would tell Donna EVERYTHING when Dan has kids when Dan was leaving town… then Donna tells Charlie,Charlie tells Katie, Katie tells Garcia…. So maybe Wendi was just whining to Donna and Donna went to Charlie .. Donna was placing the seed she’s the reason this happened to Dan!!!

I don’t think he was so mad. He was doing it for his sister, and even more, for his mom, who was obsessed with defeating Dan and now he’d even filed a motion to prevent her having unsupervised visitation with her grandchildren. Charlie was the family “fixer” and he was wealthy and entitled and enjoyed staying connected to people “from the other side of the tracks.” I don’t get the sense Charlie was particularly passionate.

Wow ! Thank you Jesse, as always taking us through these cases that makes me feel I totally understand the law, as a layman I appreciate you! I’ll never forget this case as I’m sure many others won’t either, since I first heard of Mr Markel’s murder 🙏🏼 I hope there’s no mistrial due to the jury’s “group chat” before they deliberated 🤦🏼‍♀️ But I believe they got the verdict right!

How insane is it that someone is killed, police ask you “who could have done it”, and the list of possibles that comes to your mind includes YOUR BROTHER, *and yet* you claim to never have bothered to ask “hey, you remember you joked last month you wanted to kill my ex? I think one of the biggest circumstancial proof of guilt against Charlie is he was telling his mom on the wiretap "if your being threatened, go to the police". He said that several times. Well, wasn't Charlie's story is he was being threatened? He would've gone immediately to the police if his story was true.
