The soundtrack is a masterpiece. I mean the decision to make each song a tribute to a different era of music was perfect. Especially for Mike Teavee to show the many things you could watch on TV, but just because you watch TV doesn't mean you know everything, and that TV can be wrong. Also, who wouldn't want to sing about how great your master is while being burned?

As grand as Prince Pondicherry's palace was, he didn't think twice about the building material. That's why I'm glad I got the right people to get the job done for my palace. As a reward, I let the workers enjoy a swim day in the palace moat. Weirdly enough...haven't seen them since then. Should've mentioned about the addition of the Titanoboa in the moat to them.

I like the conspiracy that in both versions the whole thing is an elaborate excuse to make Charlie his successor without raising suspicion. And he just chose obnoxious kids he knew he could tempt as a formality to say there where other candidates. Edit: The theory is stronger for the original because Slughorn is literally seen around each kid when they find the tickets implying he may have planted them because he’s a literally a Wonka Spy. In both fils suspiciously the means of transport get smaller and smaller and by the TV room there’s only enough glasses for 2 sets of families to be left. Also he literally has a framed portrait of Veroka’s mother in the squirrel room and most of the other clues are literally said by Mike TV who’s good at spotting patterns and Wonka always speaks over. Like the prerehersed nature of the songs (to the point it’s implied a lot of Mike TVs song is prerecorded)
