Interesting fact is Chaplin himself was inside the chicken costume. Orginally, an employee of his was inside the costume, but the man was not convincing. He was behaving like an employee in a chicken suit. Chaplin was persuaded, reluctantly, to get inside the suit and, as one of his crew members stated, when Chaplin got into the chicken costume, he actually became a chicken.

I like the style of this film with Charlie narrating. It gives it a sort of style that you can't find in other films.

I prefer the original tbh. And its not just because of bias its because I feel that it ruins the interpretation I can make when watching this film. And I mean, theres a certain charm that imo is tarnished when commentary comes into play. It is still helpful though.

A lot of Charlie's jokes became stock gags in cartoons. The cannibalism bit where one character imagines another as food... Charlie did make his impact on the world. And unlike a lot of other silent film comics, he made the transition.

Oui ! C'est vrai, il y a une petite erreur dans le film, Charlie Chaplin prend le couteau et le met dans le lit, puis quelques secondes plus tard, le couteau réapparaît sur la table...

now I understand where many scenes in the bugs bunny and other looney toons cartoons come from. Funny shit, if you copy Warner's Bros' work in any way, shape or form you get sued for copyright infringement, but many american businesses have built their success upon stolen content. Funny shit, really. Such a "nice" world we are living in....
