There is a reason the 2nd Ammendment is the only one saying "Shall not be infringed!" Because it protects all the others.

Kirk himself says “everyone has a high standard on something until it starts to hit their hip pocket”. So sure, stick armed guards everywhere but be prepared to pay lots of money for it at the same time.

@@1976axerhand paying armed guards. Let’s be honest though, anyone that thinks a barely trained armed guard is going to throw their life on the line when there is an active shooter is kidding themselves. The police have shown even they won’t do it.

I think the 2A is equally about resisting a tyrannical government and self-defense. If you have the unalienable right to life and liberty, then it stands to reason you also have an unalienable right to defend both your life and your liberty.

There is a reason conquerors thru out history have confiscated weapons. There is a reason dictatorial regimes have strict control of weapons. England has strict gun control. So most assaults and murders are done with knives. So they have restrictions on knives, and are contemplating more restrictions on knives.

That is the part I find so funny....the same parents who take their kids to Laker game, have popcorn, laugh, Cheer, by a big finger, and go home so happy (with SO MANY security guards with guns standing all around them).....THEN find it OUTRAGOUS the very next day if that same security is at their kids school watching over them when NONE of the parents are there LOL. That has never, ever made sense to me beyond just supporting an ideology no matter what.

$85 billion to Ukraine could have paid for a LOT of OT for cops to sit at schools. Even Disneworld pays huge money to pay for local LEO to work OT as park security. EDIT: $85 billion would get us by for quite some time, keeping kids safe while figuring out the long term solution. Instead, ship out cash (money talks) while doing truly nothing (BS walks) to solve the problem, whatever that problem actually may be.

If all the illegal and legal criminals have guns then unfortunately most people would feel safer to have one too. I’m in Australia so I wouldn’t know about a gun but we have lots of baseball bats under beds and three dogs that have access to inside and outside ❤. Of course JESUS is the best protection🙏

Charlie is spot on with his reasoning, the 2nd amendment‘s primary function is to deter a tyrannical government from even trying to go it’s own citizens because the cost of such action and the danger they would put themselves in is too high to risk it

Unlikely. Most people aren’t soldiers and whilst it is easy to think you’d act a certain way, when it comes time to pull the trigger, most probably wouldn’t. Besides, the government has way bigger guns, way deeper pockets and bombs and tanks. Good luck against that.
