Charlie asked if they thought they’d get a job that required a degree and they all melted at the thought of getting a job…..🤦♀️

If we look at college as being about educating more than a job...than we have a MASSIVE issue right off the bat. Who in their right mind pays $200,000 in debt to simply be educated on something? That alone is a scam. A 50% success rate is a MASSIVE failure when you are charging hundreds of thousands of dollars for your product.

It’s adorable that guy thinks college makes you smart.

@@fancy39 exactly. I get the youngsters are easily gullible about such things but what are their parents doing sending them to college?

Take a walk on any college campus... million dollar landscaping, tenured professors who work 4 hrs per week making 500k per year. Textbooks prices that are through the roof. Faculty vehicles being used for personal business, massive stadiums, uniforms, etc, etc... the list goes on. My daughter had a "mandatory book" listed for one of her classes. Get this... her professor was one of its co-authors!! Cost of this book? $350. Mandatory??
@joewojcik258Ай бұрын
And professors retire with hundreds of thousands of dollars per yr with their pensions. It's disgusting
@audreym377727 күн бұрын
Only $350?? My kid had to pay $800 for a DEI book from SDSU….🤮

@@audreym3777🐂💩 costs a lot of money. Tell your daughter to leave college and go get a job. Bill Cosby 50+ years ago on one of his comedy albums started his bit by saying. When I graduated college I couldn't find a job because all the dropouts had them.😐

I went to college for information technology. Worked in the field making 58,000 a yr in an office. Now i drive a truck local for an ltl company. Over 110,000 a yr home every night and I'm not stuck inside. U don't need college to be happy and make a life

Get back to me in 20 years on the road. Happy now anyway. It's still a good living but after decades on the road dealing with low IQ drivers(and they are in the millions), happy is not a feeling you will have. 😉

A college degree does have value for certain occupations. That said, too many kids get useless degrees

If any one of these kids went to a car dealership, asked for a specific car, and the dealership said "You gotta pay head, but also there's a 50% chance you may not get the car you like..." they'd be stupid to make a purchase no?

This guy is "trying" to get educated by stuff he learned in high school. Unless you are going to school for a specialized field, a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, or a teacher, you don't need to go. And whomever goes to college needs to have a scholarship, grants, or pay for it themselves.
@audreym377727 күн бұрын

They are both right, too many people go to college / university who will never get a job in that field. However the life lessons you learn are amazing and do often help you in life afterwards. Additionally many students don't really know what they want to do so just follow the masses, hence the high drop out rates. Ideally though apprenticeship and other more vocational education should get higher standing in society to help get more diversity in education.
